This is my first trike which I took to Burningman in August before it was electrofied. I bought the bike used for $300 and it came with a flimsy small wire basket on the back which I promptly removed and bolted on a nice piece of plywood which I stained. I made a Burningman logo template on paper and used black spray paint to paint it on the wood.

At the time I didn't realize how easy it was to install one of these kits. $200 for the 36V 800W motor and $200 for the battery which was used but never used before I bought it. The guy that sold me the battery has a business up the street from my business. He sells the most amazing retro looking gas powered bicycles.

The wheel size is 24". I put the battery and controller in the most convenient place possible without getting in the way.

Photos below show the trike since I added power. I think Im hooked on eTrikes. I keep going back and forth weather to build a two wheeler but then I ask myself, why? Trikes are so much more useful. If I want to go fast on a two wheeler, I'll take my Harley out for a ride.

My thing is to ad torque arms.

How many Muppets had to die? Let me guess, post-apocalyptic alpha sexy needs parts from the whole Muppets band to show just what lengths you guys are willing to go to. Typical. But, anyways, I like how you all roll. I am a dedicated triker (so far) myself. Enjoyed both your postings. I may need to try this Burning Man thing myself. Certainly looks like some good people who know how to have fun!

Looks familiar. The trike with the motor, not the girl.

My first e bike was a trike with the aotema front motor kit. I put a battery box under the basket. The basket bolted to the flip top lid. So long ago, it was running 48v lead. Battery box, trike.JPG

I found it too fast to be safe with the aotema. But with a lower speed motor it works good.
