My Qulbix DIY frame has an SVMC 72150 and a CT22 display. The display has to be wired directly to the battery so it can display the battery level. There's no on/off switch on the display though, so unless you run the power through a switch it would just be on all the time.
The keyed ignition mainly controls the controller, turning it on and off. You run a wire from the positive battery terminal to the ignition, and then back to the controller's ignition wire.
What I'm wondering is if I can also go ahead and wire the display into the keyed ignition, so that the ignition will turn on both the display and the controller at the same time. The contacts in the ignition are pretty beefy, so I'm thinking it can probably handle the current.
I just want to make sure that wiring it up this way won't inadvertently send power somewhere it's not supposed to go. I can't see any issues with it myself but thought I would ask before doing it.
