Hello everyone,

I'm curious if anyone has tried using a battery monitoring system like the BMV 700 from Victron Energy to get a live, accurate reading of the remaining battery on an e-bike. This would be closer to what you see in an EV car in terms of monitoring, providing a live percentage display.

I find that all e-bike screens, including the Cycle Analyst, are inaccurate since they only check the voltage, which fluctuates a lot when drawing power. I need something precise for my long-range trips so I can predict where and when to stop.

It's easy to do (it's a DIY e-bike, by the way), but at $150 a piece (and I have four e-bikes, so $600 in total), I wanted to see if anyone could share their experience with this.

Here's a link: BMV-700 - Victron Energy

Thanks for your input!

That all very nice but doesn't answer( or I did not understood) my question; can a simple plug and play BMV700 plug in between my phaserunner and battery give me an accurate read
Thanks

Should give you an accurate read once setup and calibrated, Victron makes some nice, but spendy gear.
Ok great thanks I know they are expensive I was just wondering if the price is worth it for a plug and play solution that's reliable
