You could wrap an LED strip around it, which would make it look less like a gun. It would also be a great safety feature for riding when it is dark out.

Awesome! I grabbed the 1 wheeled version off Aliexpress recently (aka solowheel or airwheel). It is much much harder to ride (like 10x the learning curve) than the 2 wheeled one, but it can be used in the grass so it's great for riding around the yard. Also the 1 wheeled version is about $90...

2-3x as big imo. Bigger problem is it would cost at least 2x as much to make.

These are absolutely horrible if you care about having a smooth ride over older pavement, and they need to be filed down to fit the hub meant for flywheels. I highly recommend grabbing 76mm 78A Abec11 Flywheels for $60, since the 83mm ones are like $100.

If you decide you want a slightly larger board with a longer wheel base, I recommend getting this deck, chopping the nose off (removes 4.5 inches), and chopping a couple inches off the tail. The result is a deck similar to this compact board but with a usable kicktail.
