To set it to “unrestricted” in the iPhone app you tap on the big box at the top of the screen that shows the device info. Then you’ll get to a screen where you can select different “power presets” based on region. At the bottom of the list is an unrestricted option.

My order from Electrify Bike came in today. I had time to get the motor installed and do some quick laps around the neighborhood.
Initial impressions:
- Install is pretty straightforward. The manual is easy to follow and everything went together like it should.
- Pedaling feels very natural...
Very odd issue. I’ve never worked with a true sine wave controller so I can’t speak to that, but I can confirm that a Kelly KBSX (trapezoidal) controller works perfect with an MY1020 motor.
What you are experiencing sounds EXACTLY like mine did before I got the phases correct.
I just looked at my build and without changing the physical position of the hall sensors I got it working with the following
Controller:Motor
Phase - YGB:YGB
Hall - YGB:BYG
Sounds like you have a sensored brushless DC motor and the phases are out of sync between the motor and controller.
Unfortunately there isn't a standard across manufacturers for what yellow, green, and blue actually mean so when you mix and match controllers and motors you can't just connect...
