Asking $1600
Located near Ladera Ranch, CA

CYC Photon electric bike conversion
- CYC Photon mid-drive torque sensing motor
- “super shark” battery from Electrify Bike (52V, 14Ah, 728 Wh)
- 4 Amp smart charger allows charging to 80% to preserve battery or 100% for maximum range. Full charge in just 3-4 hours!
- 2020 Raleigh Tamland Gravel Bike (54cm) with High quality reynolds 631 chromoly steel frame, carbon fork, HED wheels, 11 speed SHIMANO drivetrain, SHIMANO hydraulic brakes.
- Other upgrades include: Ergon Seat, Panaracer tubeless tires (low miles!), Tubus add-it rear rack.
- Other parts included but not installed: thumb throttle, brake sensors, crankset and front derailleur to convert the bike back to stock pedal-only configuration if you want.

I love this bike and built it with quality components planning to keep it for a long time but ended up buying a cargo bike so I can run more errands and haul my daughter. Only selling this to make room because I can’t store both.

54cm frame will fit anyone 5’7” - 6’0”

CYC Photon is one of the best conversion motors on the market and you won’t find another bike at this price with anywhere near the same performance or range. The torque-sensing pedal assist feels very natural and this thing flys up hills.

Currently set up pedal-assist with 28mph top speed (Class 3) and motor settings balanced for range and battery longevity. Very configurable with CYC app: can unlock higher speeds as well as tune settings for more assist or higher power.

Makes an excellent commuter with long range and Class 3 speeds.

I get 30 miles of real world range at 25+ mph. Over 40 miles at 20mph and over 60 miles at 15 mph.

Known issues (see pictures for examples)
- minor scuffs and paint chips
- Wear on bar tape

Motor and battery were over $1500 plus tax on their own.

Reasonable offers will be considered.
Will consider parting out CYC Photon and battery separate from the bike, but I prefer to sell it as a package

Just browsing around here, I've seen some good deals.

But this is an absolute steal! And it's steel!

Just the bike alone is almost worth your asking price I would think. Too bad I'm on a different continent, lol. Good luck with the sale. 👍🏼

yeah, DIY builds don’t have great resale value so I’m trying to be fair with my pricing without completely losing my shirt, haha. I’m almost scared to tally up exactly how much I’ve spent building this bike, but it’s definitely more than double my asking price.

I’m just hoping it goes to somebody who will use it and enjoy it as much as I have!
