Looks like a really really nice unit, but damn it's expensive. Twice the price of a BBSHD setup based on the pricing I've been given - and that assumes purchasing a battery direct from em3ev.

This is slightly worrying considering it's advertised as a torque sensor. Starting to think I might just be better getting a TSDZ2 with overdrive or a BBSHD and experimenting with the various programming profiles that are available.

Did you have any forced airflow while discharging? I'm sure running the motor at full chat without any forced airflow (like actual riding would produce) has contributed to the problem as heat would dissipate quicker with forced air exchange over the heatsink fins.

I've had that thought also, but don't want to end up with something that is shortly superseded and can't be upgraded easily. The newer model with improved torque assist, a firmware update plug and higher amps seriously fits the bill. Would be great if there was a firmware tool like there is for...

Thanks, but now I'm even more confused. So the 52v overdrive is actually a 36v motor, not a 48v. I thought max cadence was determined by the max RPM of the motor and the number of teeth of the reduction gearing - which I'm sure was worked out a few pages back to be around 100. How does...

Is anyone able to at least confirm the following quote, as I'm sure i've read that the 48v model doesn't work with a fully charged 52v battery, so how is the 52v overdrive setting achieved?
