I have no personal experience with current large format LiFePO4 cells, but here's a data point ... Jack Rickard at EVTV has recently done testing on the new CALB CA-series gray cells and has spoken rather favorably of them on his blog and weekly videos. The EVTV webstore has begun carrying them...

I'm e-biking to Adams (~85mi RT) to spectate and cheer on the e-Racers. 8) Won't be schlepping the big camera this time. :(

New Member! 8) - AmpedBikes Hubmotor (9C 9X7, circa October 2008). - Ping 36V/20AH v1 still works great! Headway 48V/10AH packs added later.

Failing that, there's always the (noisy and stinky) 2-stroke approach... :shock:
