Kawasaki Sumo Fat Build - Bafang 48V Mid

Hey Bob, Apparently I can save a ton of weight just redoing the wheels (over 15 pounds each!), but at the end of the day, I think I'd rather have it built more like a motorcycle than like a bicycle. At 48V, I don't notice the weight.

Kawasaki Sumo Fat Build - Bafang 48V Mid

Just thought I'd do a quick post on my latest build. While I was waiting for my son's Sondors to arrive, I got jealous and finally built a replacement for my tried-and-true Montegue Folder (with an original Currie USPD drive in case you are wondering how long I've been eBiking) ;-) The new...

Cheapest backup power for house? Discuss.

I think the point was inexpensive storage of energy. Even with small, irregular inputs, you could preserve the energy in a relatively efficient pendulum, and request much larger output of energy as your needs demanded. As you probably know, flywheels are quite dangerous. A pendulm seem less...

    My Electric Haunted House Car

Thanks! When I moved to town, I told my wife "i want to be the crazy guy at the top of the hill with the electric vehicles". I think that, by virtue of living at the top of the highest hill, and having Shredder, the Montague and this Haunted Darkride, I have finally achieved my goal. 8)

    My Electric Haunted House Car

"Terror on the Butte" As far as I know, I am one of two people in the country who have a working haunted house ride in their garage (tell me if you know of any others). No, you can't commute on it. And yes, it has more problems than any of my real EVs. But, it is still the most popular of my...

Thanks - I'll confirm that I've got clearance.

    Intermittent power loss... Likely causes?

Thanks Fletcher and Link: I haven't noticed any relationship between road conditions, riding conditions, or throttle position. So far it just seem random. I think I did hook up the brake control to the CycleAnalyst (its not connected to my brakes)... maybe there is a short in that connection...

    Intermittent power loss... Likely causes?

I'm running a Crystalyte controller with a stock USPD thumb throttle (I do not know what type of throttle it is, because I've never had an issue with it). I also have a Cylce Anaylst. Over the last couple of weeks, I have been experiencing intermiddent dead-spots. Not necessarily in the...
