Earlier someone posted the 14.6 firmware this way on this thread, and another poster couldn't get it to work - and when we passed it over to the Luna team, they couldn't get it to work either, claiming it bricked the motor. Zipping it and posting it to mega/etc is the safest way.

I'm going to try again. I'm trying to avoid posting it as a txt, because something went wrong with the .bin files posted that way earlier - both Luna and a user here couldn't get them to work after that.

I asked Bafang for the latest firmware for our motor, and this is what they got back to me with. Not even sure how to read that version, but there it is. If you still have the tool and are interested, maybe you can give it a shot. I posted this in the Luna forum thread too...

Have you tried getting in touch with Bafang and getting the firmware from them directly? I am becoming less than confident that the whole "rename .bin to .txt and back" trick has worked out perfectly.

I'm one of the folks with the last generation of the Luna X1 with the M600, and like many I am annoyed at the way this motor works in low PAS levels - it basically doesn't. Then at 3/5 or 5/9 you suddenly get tons of power everywhere, but a little too much, really.
Maybe the torque sensor...
