What is the best way to protect your eBike from theft...

Next question.... where do we get fuse? Although following this line if smoke as theft deterrant, I'd think the electric igniters from model rockets would work quite well. Might be a fun thing to play around with!

What is the best way to protect your eBike from theft...

How about something that belches huge amounts of smoke? I don't picture someone stealing something that looks like it might go from smoke to flame at any second. Hmmmmmm <brain melting> I had a bike stolen that was secured with a 3/8" hardened chain. They cut that chain like an old shoe lace...

Help please, Lightweight motor for Hovercraft

I'm sure someone can crunch the numbers, and I don't want to discourage a fun sounding project, but my gut tells me no RC motor will work, an Etek either. Even the smallest one man hovercraft use 50 to 65 horsepower engines. Unless you get close to that type of power you're just not going to...

    Yet another sports car.......

Hydrogen fuel cells are such crap in my opinion. They will never ever be inexpensive. It will never ever be simple to supply hydrogen. It will always be difficult (read more expensive) to use them in northern climates. My prediction for the near future.... plug in diesel hybrids.

    Miscellaneous Parts Bike Build

Very cool looking rig. You bicycle guys make me want to try it out! I've always been leg lazy but with the setups you're making I could get where I needed and get some exersize too. Couple of thoughts....and I may be whacked in the head..... couldn't you drill the frame and have wires go...

    Awesome DC/DC converter 36-72v in 12v 20a out $20

I bought one.... it didn't work at 69 volts. I tested it at 36 and it worked. I tried again at 69, a dim power out for an instant, folowed by no power. I tried it again at 36V, accidently reversed the leads for an instant...it's dead. Bums me out, if it had worked at 69 I wouldn't have been...

    Awesome DC/DC converter 36-72v in 12v 20a out $20

Welllll.... it's not working on 69 volts. I checked the voltage before I tried. The batteries had just been charged & it was 69. I tried it at 36 volts, it worked. After one more no go at 69V I accidently hooked it backwards to 36. **POOF!** All the white smoke escaped & it's dead. The...

    Charging question

If the original diagram showed the series wires making it a 60 volt system it might have been easier to understand. It was those wires that made the 6 wire idea short out when put in practice. All's well that ends well! I do appreciate everyones help.

Combined electric bike and wind turbine.

Here's a link to how I'm doing it. My last post shows: http://endless-sphere.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=3247&start=30 In a 23 MPH wind I can charge four dead car batteries in an hour. (mathematically). My blades are almost 20 feet across. I don't think wings on wheels will have nearly...
