Power Upgrade For Prodeco Oasis 28 MPH Version

I mwill be running two batterys in series and will probably go with Li-on for less weight and cost. FYI- I bought my Prodeco battery in May and its allready on its way out. 2000 charges = no way.

Power Upgrade For Prodeco Oasis 28 MPH Version

It should fit and if not you can file off the edge of the bracket a little. I have not put mine in yet but will do so when I decide my battery setup. The new 1200 watt is probably just a 750 watt motor which is the legal limit for an electric bike in the US. By running more volts and/or...

Power Upgrade For Prodeco Oasis 28 MPH Version

When I do replace mine I will open it up and tell you. One thing is for sure. They do not hold up well over time and they charge a lot for the replacement. I am going to get one from China direct that is far better and less expensive. BVH - Did that increase the torque on the bike any?

Power Upgrade For Prodeco Oasis 28 MPH Version

His email is: Edward@Lyen.com The controller is 2.5 wide, 1.25 height, 4.85 length including the mounting brackets. Sorry to hijack your thread, but thought I could help out a fellow with the same intentions. The oasis has the same motor and controller box that the outlaw has so you will be...

Power Upgrade For Prodeco Oasis 28 MPH Version

I believe Lyon said it was 50 amps max. I needed one that would fit in the controller box that came with the Outlaw. Now I am rethinking the whole scenerio because I am going to run twin batteries in series to give me high speed. One battery in each Pannier bag over the back tire. I wanted to go...

Power Upgrade For Prodeco Oasis 28 MPH Version

I just got a 100 volt max, 6 fet mini monster controller that replced my Prodeco Outlaw Controller and it fits perfectly in the same space/box. The Oasis uses the same box under the battery. I am going to run either two 36 or two 48 volt Li ion Batteries in series and see what happens to my...

Increasing speed with new battery and controller

OK. I am weighing out some things that maybe you folks can give some feedback on. I am replacing the 48 volt Prodeco battery with another battery or battreries in series. There are so many choices between voltage, amp hours, size, and type. Lithium ion, Lifepo4, ect... There is also discharge...

Increasing speed with new battery and controller

I purchased a 72 volt 6 FET 4110 Mark II Mini Monster LYEN Edition Controller from California and pairing it with a 72 volt 15 AH LIPO4 battery from BMS and hoping that it works out. Thanks for the comments.

Increasing speed with new battery and controller

Upgrading a Prodeco Outlaw SS 48 volt to a higher voltage and larger capacity battery. I really wanted to go with 72 volts but afraid of frying the phase wires and having to add a tourque arm. I can replace them no problem but do not want to take off the rear wheel and go through getting into...

Increasing speed with new battery and controller

The battery has been used a lot. Charged twice a day, everyday for seven months. It is probably just worn out. Regardless, it never did provide enough juice for the long rides I take daily. Should I start a thread with that title?

Increasing speed with new battery and controller

OK. I am not an ebike Genius and am just now starting to learn more about them. What would be my best option to speed up the bike and yes I know that going over 20 MPH without pedaling is frowned upon. I live in rural south florida and am over 250lbs. The the best speed I get is 26 MPH. The bike...

Increasing speed with new battery and controller

Hello, I have an older Prodeco Outlaw SS with a 750 watt motor. The bike is in decent shape and the battery is all but used up. Instead of rebuilding the battery or buying one for $799 (Really?) I would like to replace the controller with a higher rated one such as a 6,9 or 12fet 72 volt as...
