Nevermind, will send it back to the deal to get it fixed.
Don't want to risk further problems I'm too new to batteries and BMS's to want to do it myself.
Thank you.
Hi,
Edited:
Battery won't charge, BMS might be faulty due to a short.
Was wondering if there was a way I could potentially fix this myself without sending it back to where I got it from.
But on second thought, I don't trust my ability. So I decided I will send the battery and the charger...
Nice stuff. I got mine today, but I'm an idiot, I didn't check to see what type of BB I had. It turns out I have a FSA bracket.
So I've ordered the FSA BB30 conversion kit from wiggle. Should arrive next week.
I have a Fuji Roubaix road bike. It's currently using a Gossamer FSA crank set.
Does that mean I would need the FSA BB30 conversion kit for the BBSHD to fit?
http://www.wiggle.com/fsa-bb30-conversion-kit/
What tools are required to fit that?
Thanks.
Nice work. I Like that bike.
I should be receiving my BBSHD + battery pack, tomorrow. I'll be putting mine on a Fuji Roubaix road bike. Battery will go in my back pack for more stealth. :)
How is the cabling for the BBSHD? Does it need some protective heat shrink over it? Or are they fairly...
Does the BBS had have a built in cut off sensor? For example, if I pedal backwards will it stop the motor so I can change gears? Or do I need to buy a cut off sensor?
Thank you.
Hello,
I am wanting to put a BBSHD on a full suspension mountain bike. The problem is, some of these bikes have different sized bottom brackets.
I'm looking at buying a second hand one.
I found a Trek top fuel 7 2008 for a reasonable price but I couldn't find any information on the BB width...
I've been watching his vids, but his description has:
"Motor:
•Bafang 8fun BBS02 750w 48v (1470watts at 58.8v)
•Custom controller settings with maximum throttle enabled
•52 tooth chainring (85.5km/h top speed)
•155 RPM at 58.8v (factory settings 120 RPM maximum)
Battery:
•Homemade 14s 5p 58.8v...
It doesn't seem to be impossible. A guy has done 50+ mph top speed. But it was with a road bike and he modified the bafang 750W.
Check him out. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OctRu79TcQ8
Hi, off topic, hope the OP doesn't mind.
But which Giant road bike do you plan on using?
I have a Fuji Roubaix 1.0 that I was thinking of using for a mid drive kit. It's an aluminium frame too.
Would a 750W mid drive be okay to use or would it be too great a risk in damaging the frame?
