Need help with battery diagnosis and repair

Thank everyone for you comments, opinions and suggestions. I'll see what kind of voltage is on the pack and the batteries as Monster suggested but I'm guessing the battery is completely flat at this point. At first glance I don't see any cells that are disformed. There is no smell from the...

Need help with battery diagnosis and repair

Hi All, So I rode to work and plugged in my battery but it didn't charge. I ended up riding home the old fashioned way...ughh! I would really like to get my bike up and running again now that the weather is showing signs of improvement. Unfortunately, I'm not very electrically technical...

What spoke length for a Puma motor in a 26" rim?

My rims are double-walled but even so grinding down the spokes to fit would not have helped me as I ran out of threads.

What spoke length for a Puma motor in a 26" rim?

Hi All, I don't have a Puma but when I checked my 408 Crystalyte Rear wheel I found 2 really loose spokes. Upon further inspection it turned out they were actually broken at the threads. I bought my setup from the very reputable Ebikes.ca and was told by them I needed 192mm length. I ordered...

Buying a Hub Motor in Beijing

Thanks for the reply Lessss. Is there anyone on this forum from China? I believe that the Chinese government has a rule that prohibits the sale of product locally if it is for export to locations outside of China. Where is Ping from? Maybe if I am not able to bring back a hub motor I could...

Buying a Hub Motor in Beijing

I have the opportunity to go to Beijing soon on a business trip. My plan was to pick up a C-lyte 530x while I was there for cheap. I just found out they ONLY sell wholesale to other countries and you can't just walk into the Crystalyte factory and pick up a motor from the assembly line. I'm...

How can I correct the Vibrate/Buzz in CLyte Hub?

It is side-to-side play. I like to adjust the cones but I'm not sure how or if I have the proper tools for the job. I hate taking the wheel to my LBS but I might have to if I can't figure it out.

How can I correct the Vibrate/Buzz in CLyte Hub?

Hi All, I haven't posted for weeks. I've been riding my 408 rear hub like crazy and it now has almost 1700 miles on it. I've noticed a buzz/vibration from the hub has been increasing over the past month. I've searched the forum for threads on this topic but didn't find much. Here is what...

    .

The summer weather is bring out the cyclists. Yesterday, I came up behind a guy with shaved legs and an IronMan tatoo on his calf sorta like this: I was able to pass him easily as he was only going ~22 mph. Maybe he was just riding home after finishing an Ironman competition. :D

Do I have pretty much everthing I need?

Yes - that sounds like the one I have! It is certainly not the highest quality but it sure beats the tiny adjustable wrench I was using before. Actually, once you get your wheels trued professionally they should stay that way for months and months. It was well worth the $11 they charged me...

Rush Hour Commute Video! Uncut! Uncensored!

Not bad - but try yelling out commentary once in awhile. Someone told me you can stick a piece of foam over the mic to quiet down the wind noise.

Do I have pretty much everthing I need?

This won't work on your Crystalyte hub spokes. I had a hard time finding one to fit the beefy non-standard spoke nipples. Finally, I had to order one from my LBS.

    * * * The 1000 Mile Club * * *

Wow! I made it into this club today with 1025 miles!! I commute to work (31 miles roundtrip) everyday (unless it is raining cats and dogs) and I started all this 2 months ago.

    Dealing with cars / traffic

I am thankful that my commute situation, like pwbset's route, avoids traffic. You can make out the trial on the left and it crosses over the water several times along the way.
