    Simple top speed question guys.

There's so many variables here, and just knowing the number of teeth in the rear is not enough. Depends a lot of the controller, how the controller is programmed, battery voltage, front teeth. I am running a CYC X1 Pro Gen 2 w/ the stock controller and a 52 volt battery, 29er wheels. I did a...

If you were recommending a setup then what would it be? X1 Pro G2 with the ASI? I am getting closer to having a bike to put one on and would like to pull the trigger on a purchase. I am pleased with the x1 pro gen 2 with the stock controller. The whole system works well along with the...

    GNG / CYC X1 Pro 3000w

Anyone have any thoughts on the various battery cell options and how they work with this motor with the stock controller? I'm running 52v 8ah Samsung 40T right now, and considering Samsung 30Q and LG MJ1 for my next battery. All 52v, but 60v and 72v are options as well. My application is...

Not positive, but it feels and sounds like that's what is happening. I'll try your idea of videoing it. What else could it be?

The gears within each mode are very important because it enables you to more gradually increase the power. I always start in 1 or 2 otherwise the chain skips. It's too much power too quick. Once I get going a little I press the button to go to 2nd and then 3rd, etc. There an instruction video on...

I read somewhere that I can't find now that the ASI BAC fits in the stock controller location, does it? It does.

I'm using the stock controller without issue. I also find the smartphone app very intuitive. I'm not sure what all the complaints are about.

    GNG / CYC X1 Pro 3000w

Yes, possible and very easy. You just go into the smartphone app and set up one of the modes to have throttle turned off, and of course make sure pedal assist is turned on in that mode.

    X1 PRO GEN2

Thanks for the reply ScooterMan. I might take your advice on adding disk brakes to the front. I might even be able to do the same on the back with an adapter, although that seems like a less reliable solution. I found a good youtube video on some different adapter options...

    X1 PRO GEN2

I have one of these motors on the way. I'm not sure if I should install it on my 2005 litespeed pisgah (26 wheels, Ti frame, 7 speed) or if I should pick up a steel 29er donor bike like this one: https://images.craigslist.org/00X0X_bV9L85u8lbX_1200x900.jpg I would consider adding gears to...

    GNG / CYC X1 Pro 3000w

Looking at batteries for a gen 2, can anyone provide me advice on what type of connector the battery should have? I see the Anderson Powerpole is a common one available online. I'd like to be able to remove the battery from the bike easily so I can bring it inside to charge. Thanks

My Build Plan - Any Advice?

Hi everyone, I'm thinking about powering up my old litespeed pisgah with an X1 PRO GEN2, torque sensing version with the chain drive. It's currently a single speed. Any advice on what parts I should use for gears? Is the high-end XTR good for this type of application or is there something...
