So I have done it!
Everything seems to be OK, although when I charging those two batteries together, charger does not switch green led on. Both batteries are fully charged (sitting on 58,2V) but charger is still running infinite time (no current is flowing). But if I split two packs and charge...
You are right, it is not ideal solution. I need something very reliable and long lasting solution.
I have another option to assemble fully independent 36V pack with lower capacity, maybe 10Ah (in order to get lower price) with its own BMS board. So I would have one 15Ah and one 10Ah pack. Then...
Hello to all,
I would like to ask you experienced guys about solution for my tricky situation. I will be moving soon and my distance from home to work will increase to 40km, which is too far for my 36V/15ah LiFePo pack. I need increase capacity of my pack but my budget is currently very...
Thanks very much for your ideas. I am not sure who is manufacturer of my lifepo packs. I purchased them from our local golden motor vendor, but I think it is not GM packs, because on official GM site, I could not find them. I will attach photo, so maybe you could help me to identify them. I do...
Hello everyone,
I would like to ask you about possibility of paralleling two LiFePo packs. I have ordered two new 48V12Ah packs, so they should be exactly the same and new. Every pack has its own BMS with separate charge and discharge connection. I would like to put them in parallel in order...
Thanks again for your ideas.
This is how I will do it: I will buy that BMS system together with 2x 6s + 1x 4s JST-XH balance plugs and battery medic, which I will use it for occasionally checking single cells and BMS function and balance all cells if necessary.
Celllog is great device, but big...
Thanks for your advices. It seems that you would prefere option 1 and use regular BMS board right?
This BMS is available at store in our local Czech vendor, so It shouldn't be problem to get it. This link to ev-power.eu was only for you, because it is english speaking website:-)
So if I am...
Hello to all,
I have 16 15ah lifepo cells I bought in order to assembly 48V15Ah pack and I have problem to decide between two options of protecting and balancing cells.
First option is to buy full BMS system for my pack...
I suppose you are talking about relays, contacts and coils within the motor right? There seems to be everything allright, because when I connected my second controller from other bike (also magic controller) it is working fine, although I didn't try it to ride outside, it was more like a bench...
I was aware that you can't go WOT in delta and then switch back to wye, it would certainly fry controller instantly. As I was saying I was riding like 10km/h when it happend.
Is it possible that this was only coincidence not related to delta x wye switching or regen braking? I was thinking...
Thanks very much for your reply. I do believe that fault was caused by switching from delta to wye during regen. Even it was during very low speed (about 10km/h), it seems that relays did not switch in exact same time. I will try this again without regen, because it is to easy to forgot release...
Hello to all,
I was reading this thread very long time and finally I decided to do delta x wye mod as well. But I have a problem, I do not know if that was coincidence or I did something wrong, but after short ride, when everything works fine I switched from delta back to wye during regen in...
