Thanks for the reply, I understand the concept of overall (wind+mechanical+tyre RR etc.) resistance and kinetic energy storaged. but hjns wrote "Estimation is that at 15km/h, I needed at least 250W to overcome cogging." That can't be right can it? If the rolling resistance of a hub is so big...

Does this mean that building a budget ebike with regen is almost out of the question? Where does that 250 watts of power go when an DD hub is rolled?

Hello, I bought these in size 50-622 to a regual bicycle after Marathon Plus Tour -tires in 42-622. Ride is significantly softer with even 5 bar pressure, and there is not much difference in rolling resistance. BA Plus seems to be very durable too, I'have tortured it on 30-70 mm stone rubble...
