It sounds like a 2 man job and a vice to get the rotor back inside the stator

How do you check the capacitor I'm afraid to dig out the silicone that I might nick a wire or something wouldn't it be easier to connect it to the new stator or would that blow the stator again

Your a champion thanks mate so when you change the stator did you also need to change the controller or did it still work reason I ask is because iv had this problem 3 times now and iv replaced the controller every time so iv got a few spare controller's lol. it would be great if they still work...
