Bafang M620/G510 (and all other Bafang motors) now on CAN-BUS (2021+) rather than UART (2018-2020)?

Just writing to confirm that you were able to change the tire size and speed limit on the canbus version of the bafang ultra.... did it go ok for you?

Bafang M620/G510 (and all other Bafang motors) now on CAN-BUS (2021+) rather than UART (2018-2020)?

I have been emailing bafang about this and I am signing up as a brand dealer to be granted access to the new software and hardware to unlock the motors. Thank goodness I am actually making prototype designs to be sold or I would be screwed.

Bafang M620/G510 (and all other Bafang motors) now on CAN-BUS (2021+) rather than UART (2018-2020)?

Ok you guys want to be able to edit all of the parameters of the older software correct? Please answer me this. Does the advanced menu and code still exist to unlock the speed limit on the newer versions so the bafang ultra will go 35ish? I sent them an email since I have created a product with...

Bafang M620/G510 (and all other Bafang motors) now on CAN-BUS (2021+) rather than UART (2018-2020)?

Did you go into the advanced screen and enter the 1919 code to unlock the power and speed?

Hey guys i know this is an old thread but i just designed some frames for the m620 and did not see this weird software change. None of you mentions going into advanced settings on the display and entering the 1919 code to unlock full power and higher speed. Did any of you know about this?

    Lets play build a battery.

come on now that would be too easy haha. I would tear apart a used ev battery to get the cells tho.

    Lets play build a battery.

Thread bump! Due to space constraints i need to change his battery build. Ill be running a 10kw 72v motor from goldenmotor.com @ 96v with a 500a controller. The motor peaks at 20kw. Due to the space constraints i would like to 4 runmodular batteries. I would like to run two packs up front...

    Gas electric hybrid questions.

You're right the easiest way is adding a generator. Ill look into the nuvinci. Some other posters here already stated that if the electric motor is given slow throttle and being forced to move faster it would try to resist the extra speed generated by the ice trying to make it go faster. I had...

    First post, electric motorcycle build.

Nice build ill be following this for sure! Your battery design is nice its very similar to those in a zero, but i think those in the zero are divided into 4 or 5 small isolated cubes. You are correct about cooling your controller with a computer graphics card cooler. You can just bolt the cooler...

    Gas electric hybrid questions.

Great points you make here. It would be most simple to go full electric and just carry a small generator on the back rack to charge on long trips. I thought it would be cheaper to go 50/50 but ill run more numbers. On paper the initial upfront cost was way less because i was not spending 3...

Yeah it's definitely alot of working components and definitely alot of wires haha.

    10KW ATV Build

The only input i have is make a few huge battery packs for it so you can ride it longer. Also post a vid of it running.

    Gas electric hybrid questions.

:bigthumb: I'll have to play around with the numbers but running both systems in tandem turned on at the same time seems like the easiest way to go right now since it will require less wiring and extra parts and cutoff switches. As far as the alternator goes on the bike it is always pumping...

    Gas electric hybrid questions.

:bigthumb: You get what I'm going for haha. The 50cc and 150cc ice are the same exact dimensions, I wanted it to have the bare minimum for freeway legality at least. The electric motor is 40 lbs plus i think battieries will be 50/60 lbs if i want it to actually be able to hit the freeway for...
