Dewalt A123 BMS battery interface solution

    * Report this post * Reply with quote Re: Dewalt A123 BMS battery interface solution Postby kfong » Sat Jun 20, 2009 10:02 am I did some more testing with the boards. Looks like capacitive spikes are a problem. It will shut down the BMS, an inline inductor of 300uh and a diode across the...

Dewalt A123 BMS battery interface solution

I'm going to be using the Dewalt 28v packs with your boards, would the same resistors and diode be used as the 36v pack?

    Problem with BMC hub motor

Take an afternoon and check every one of the 36 different combinations http://endless-sphere.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=3484- use a 5 amp fuse and wire a light bulb up in between the battery and controller so you don't fry the controller.

    Troubleshooting bad BMC motor?

I've been searching the forums for info on checking to see if my BMC hub motor is bad vs. my controller or if both are possibley bad but can't seem to find the topic. I see mention of using a 9volt battery drained to 5volts to check the halls but can't find the specific post on how. I have a...

    BMC 35a Controller Wiring.

yes, I've tried that combo with no luck- as well as the wiring that came with the instructions. I have a n older hub from 2005. ? if this is diffrent than the current ones as far as the wiring. I'm using a crystalte throttle with red on throttle to red on controller, yellow to black, and green...

    BMC 35a Controller Wiring.

Does anyone know the correct wiring for a front BMC motor with this controller? I've tried quite a few combos and it isn't working 100% right. Matching up color to color does not work. Thanks.

crystalyte 35a 36-72v controller keeps popping fuse

Ok I've ordered some of those IRFB4110s from china, yea I'm cheap- but what the heck if it works it works. Still in the process of de soldering. Will keep updating....

crystalyte 35a 36-72v controller keeps popping fuse

[img]Thanks Knoxie for the heads up on the gate resistors. I have been studying Fechers tutorial- am I correct in assuming there are 12 gate resistors- one for each FET? CR2,CR3, CR5, CR6 / BR2 BR3 BR5 BR6/ AR2 AR3 Ar5 AR6. If so they all read 11 ohms except the "CRs" which read 0. So I will...

crystalyte 35a 36-72v controller keeps popping fuse

Yes they are 4710's- thanks for the reassurance. I've started pulling out the old fets. Looks like this is going to be a tedious job. I'll do a little at a time - mabye I'll be done by the end of summer

crystalyte 35a 36-72v controller keeps popping fuse

OK , I'm wondering if this will be worth upgrading the FETS. I beleive they may be blown- per Fechers guide - I only have 1 ohm of resistance from pos lead to green and blue and no continuity(signal) at all from pos to yellow. Same holds true for negative side. I took it apart and tested the...

crystalyte 35a 36-72v controller keeps popping fuse

I made the mistake of lightly feathering the throttle at standstill when testing the controller at 72 volts (it was working great before at 72v) and the battery fuse totally melted in a serious fashion. I wired in a new 40 amp fuse but now as soon as I turn the controller on the fuse blows...

first test ride on BMC hub motor

Q, You simply can't go wrong with the EV tech kit. Yes, it's more expensive than the other options -but in this case you do get what you pay for. I haven't looked at the ev tech site in a long while but when I checked their site recently the kit comes with a 25amp controller which should be a...

first test ride on BMC hub motor

Quino, no problems at all with the fork. Of course it is a steel fork- very strong- I feel very safe even with 2000 watts running through it. ( I do have tourque arms fitted tightly to both sides for peace of mind- the laser cut ones that came with the motor) I haven't had one sign of slippage...

    Duct Tape E-Bay Lifepo4s???

I wonder how much extra the "crust" would be LOL. I must have one with the crust. Best choice of 48V electric bike, very cheap price with long life, and light weight, suit ride within 100KM. Notes:This batteries no including the crust,it can instead of the plumbum acid batteries directly, can use...
