CC ESC - Throttelizer Connection Issues

It's possible that the automatic circuit was reset too many times that it's now intermittent in operation. I've sent you a PM with details on the free speedy repair.

CC ESC - Throttelizer Connection Issues

I agree. Revisiting the whole text, If you don't want current limiting, you don't have to. Just set it to its maximum, and it'll practically act like a non-current limit because the "limit" is so high. The problem comes in at partial throttle. If a person is using partial throttle, the ESC is...

CC ESC - Throttelizer Connection Issues

I apologize if this wasn't emphasized enough in our communication. I don't necessarily capitalize all the time. In regard to the current limit, the throttelizer has a pretty high current limit ceiling so it can effectively work as "not current limited" at full throttle. The problem comes at...

CC ESC - Throttelizer Connection Issues

Hello all, we test out all products that are sent out and over 95% have had no problems that couldn't be resolved by email. As with most things, there's the possibility that something will not be connected correctly causing something to go wrong. Since this is the Beta version, if you have this...

    RC Throttle converter

We sell a somewhat similar device called the RC Throttelizer with a few more features like a current controlled throttle and customizable throttle ramp, along with temperatuve and LVC protection, along with extensive programmability. Please see http://www.evlogix.com/content.php?link=Rcthrottle...

Matt and rest of "non-hub" guys help!

This problem has not been encountered before, so I don't know the solution right off hand. So, I'm going to try to make sure that the correct port is selected. You should restart your computer, because a port might be hanging open and preventing a connection. If you close the program, and...

Matt and rest of "non-hub" guys help!

I'm confident that if we take this one step at a time, we'll get to the root of the problem. There's a lot of possibilities though on what you're seeing, so I need to get what you're seeing exactly. So this may take a little time. So, you did get to the part where it says "Settings applied. Now...

Matt and rest of "non-hub" guys help!

Hello, I apologize for the problems you're experiencing. I'll try to help you to get through this. So, what suggests that the programming doesn't work? Does a black screen suddenly flash and disappear? Does it attempt to program and then report back with a bunch of zeros for the values? Is...

What's available for RC throttle control this year?

Yes, the throttelizer is still available. It appears that the original sales post was auto-pruned by the forum, and so the current information available is on the website http://www.evlogix.com. Right now, we're developing a new product and integrating it with the throttelizer, so the current...

What features do you want? Throttelizer/Throttle interface

It could, although I don't think the police want me to say that. It could also be possibly used as a "kid friendly" of "beginner friendly" button.

What features do you want? Throttelizer/Throttle interface

Thanks Powerpedro. We'll evaluate the data viewers soon. On another note, we've had a few questions in the recent past about this, so I'll post here so everyone can know. There's two new variants available. One is the "booster switch" version, and the other is a two current limit version and...

How do i read a 1206 package resistor?

The first two digits are the resistor value and the last digit tells you how many zeroes follow. The unit is in ohms. 155 would then translate to 15 plus five zeros = 1,500,000 ohms which is 1.5 mega-ohms. In any other 1206 resistors, the last digit is the number of zeroes and the digits at...

The most intractable EV engineering issue? State of charge.

In regard to the digital resolution of 10bit ADC on typical microcontrollers, it's possible to get external ADC's that provide you with much greater granularity. 16-bit ADC's exist and are fairly obtainable at low frequencies, and dividing 200 amps into 2^16 divisions gets an interval of .003...

    Ok...Now my throttleizer doesn't work

In the picture, with the connection between the throttelizer and the throttle, I can see that the signal wire is connected to the blue wire, that power is connected to the brown wire, and that negative is connected to the black wire. According to Fechter at...

What features do you want? Throttelizer/Throttle interface

Hey, no problem at all. I don't mind bumps. A new version of the uploading software has been made. Check it out at http://www.evlogix.com/content.php?link=Software_rcthrottle . A user requested the feature to read the values on the RC Throttelizer so that the correct settings can be...

What features do you want? Throttelizer/Throttle interface

A boost button version has been made. Basically, two wires that would connect a regular on/off button are provided and this would allow one to trigger the boost current that's useful for that extra boost for acceleration or a short hill just by pressing a button.

High power RC motor and drive unit production

Yes, according to feedback, it works well with the Castle Phoenix HV controllers and the Turnigy controllers and those controllers seem to work well with the Astroflight motors. There seemed to be issues with cheap-quality throttles, but those have been solved. We'd be more than welcome to...

High power RC motor and drive unit production

Do you have the torque sensor on the bike where you can connect the signal? If so, it may be possible to use the RC throttelizer as a current-controlled throttle using the torque sensor signal (Assuming the torque sensor is a three-wire, 5V power supply, signal-out type of device) - the harder...

What features do you want? Throttelizer/Throttle interface

There's no computer needed to change the current limit. It can be manually changed at start up using the self-programming button. However, a programming cable would allow you to specify a more exact custom current value that would be much harder to get right with a pot/potentiometer. "Is that...

Repairing Torn tabs on Foil Pouches

If that's the silver colored tab you're referring to, then it's likely nickel-steel. It's somewhat easy to solder using tin-lead, but the connection must be cleaned first (I've used sand-paper when necessary), preferably with alcohol.

Repairing Torn tabs on Foil Pouches

Assuming you've cleaned and fluxed the connection as usual with soldering, that could be due to the tab being aluminum (It would be silver colored). Aluminum requires its own special form of solder which radio shack doesn't carry, I believe.

What features do you want? Throttelizer/Throttle interface

The 300 amp version uses a .1 mOhm shunt which is pretty low. The layout of it is pretty much identical to the original, although the main power wires need to be upgraded for it. All the units so far have been designed using silicon wire which is good upto 392 degrees fahrenheit (In the design...

Yep, this is supposed to let you enjoy your beast without worrying. I don't think worrying is very fun, and I especially don't think it's very fun when you smoke a $100+ controller when you could've saved 5+ dollars by getting something that costs 95, and enjoy a smorgasboard of features you...

A cheap RC throttle interface - what features do you want?

The current shunts are of such a low value that the losses are minimal. We're talking .25 mOhm and less, which at 100 amps equates to 2.5 watts and less - at 100 amps, you're typically pushing 3000-5000 watts through the system, so you're talking about a loss less than .1%. One tenth of a single...
