    Balance charging a 10S LiPo with a Thunder 1220 charger.

    I tried that but the charger gave me its' middle finger. I'm pretty sure I do need to fabricate a solution to this issue. I just can't get my head around what the 10S able charger wants to see to make this work. BK

    Balance charging a 10S LiPo with a Thunder 1220 charger.

    I have this charger; http://www.hobbypartz.com/75p-1220-charger.html It's 12S capable and has two balance ports, 1-6 then a separate port for 7-12. My issue is the 10S battery i'm trying to balance charge is really 2-5S batteries in series with two separate 5S balance leads...

    Bosch 36V fatpacks opened up

    FYI the "BMS" isn't a bms at all. It only contains circuitry for the 3 segment led display and a thermo sensor. Both the power tool and charger engage the battery directly with no interference outside of a stock 60amp fuse. BK

    Ambrose, yes I use the stock Bosch charger. All packs are striped down and no problem charging, just use one BMS on the charger. Plug the charger in after you hook up your packs and expect a small spark on the last battery connection. BK

    Both of my Bosch chargers go up to 41.2V, is it a different revision? Dunno. It does this when charging a single BAT832 or 5 in paralle, no difference except charge time of corse. Any one else experence this? My OTC multimeter is accurate as I've used flukes to compare with identical results...

    EV Global (EVG) w/Ebike Rear Kit

    Did you guys try running the stock motor off 48v before switching it out? I'm running 48v with a cheap Chinese controller and it's awesome. Still has the Heinzman whine but pulls any hill and top speed is about 25mph.
