    No Controller

24 volts direct to 750 watt motor via momentary toggle switch and 12 volt car solenoid. Lot's of fun, when you have nothing but time. Coming up, larger solenoid and using 36 volts. Currie 750 watt motor is 24 / 36 volt. Once you are pedaling, hit the toggle switch. Wear helmet and gloves...

    Sprocket

Frank purchased the 24/36 volt 750 watt motor w/ controller and throttle. Have now found out the sprocket does not work on my ezip mountain trails 24 volt 450 watt. Pulled both sprockets and found out they are not the same shaft size. Now frank needs a sprocket that will fit the new motor...

    motor upgrade

900 watt 24 volt 11 tooth motor, Two 24 volt 9ah batteries wired together for 24 volt 18 ah, no controller or gearing. Momentary toggle to apply power. ???????????????? I might add, that I did this with my 450 watt bicycle. One to many dead stop starts messed things up. Believe rider should...

    iZip Mountain Trailz

Need suggestions, 24v 900w (high performance) currie motor with no controller), momentary toggle switch. I ran my 24v 450w using two 24v wired side by side. 24 volt and 18ah. I was hitting the momentary toggle from dead stop and getting excellent response. However, I think I should have been...

Momentary 24 volt dc to 36 volt dc question

Thanks for the inputs on my post, but I think I will leave things as I so far modified them. Keeping my battery mounting pack contacts sanded, gives me enough take off power (the two 24 volt batteries wired together for 24 volts and 18ah.) and 15mph or so, all this old man needs. I played...

Momentary 24 volt dc to 36 volt dc question

Guess I am getting old and rusty. I would like to be able to add 12 volts in series with 24 volts to feed 36 volts to the 24 volt 450 watt motor on my Ezip. I already have the two 24 volt wired in parralle which gives me 24 volt at 18 ah. My idea is to add the 12 volt in series just before 24...

    Torque

More Torque, More Trouble if you are not careful. I found a valuable lesson. After adding my second 24 volt battery pack. 24 volts 18 amp. hour, more torque. Two days ago, I made u-turn on the street from a stopped position. In the middle of the turn, I went full throttle and the rear tire...

Adding 6 or 12 volts in series

Opinions Now that Frank (aka: Frankie) has two 24 volt batteries in par., what about adding 6 or 12 volts to that in series? That would either hit the 450 watt motor with 30 or 36 volts. Have not looked at my controller or motor. I still have a 12 volt 9ah battery.

    Upgrading Currie Motor

Just one 450, but have two 24 volt packs wired in para (can't spell anymore), gives more amp hours. Just an old man, but I love riding by nice people peddling backwards. :) Have thought about gasoline assist, but it's to much noise. Due to seizure surgery, I do not drive at present. Had brain...

    Upgrading Currie Motor

Thinking about upgrading my 450watt motor, to 24 Volt 900 Watt Motor. Article says better top end speed (or something close). Has anyone tried this? My dual 24 volt in par. does good on my 450 watt and should handle the 900 watt.

Two 24 volt battery packs wired in parrall to give 24 volts.

I may be getting a little more speed. Will have to have someone check my top speed or purchase one of those speed-o-meters. :P

Two 24 volt battery packs wired in parrall to give 24 volts.

I just modified my Ezip. Two 24 volt batteries wired together. Still 24 volts, but bike seems to respond better. No speed increase. ANY THOUGHTS.. frank (frankie)
