    funny pusher bike

If you want real excitement just jump into a pit full of wild bears or lions. Might be a lot safer than this contraption in the long run.

E-bike and bicycle event Leamington, Ontario

E-bikes are encouraged to come out and participate. See below for details. This is not a random event, I am organizing it and running it so if you are an e-bike vendor or technician I would love it if you would come out and volunteer to show your products and to help fix bikes. This is a great...

What should 60 volt nominal full charge be?

I put a new battery in my DVM and now it reads 68.8 volts on the fully charged battery set. That's way better than the original reading of 91.5 volts. I guess I'll have to read the manual to find our how to calibrate the thing before I use it nex time. Thanks again for the help guys.

What should 60 volt nominal full charge be?

Thanks, you guys are right on. I tried another VOM and it is displaying 71.1 volts which I believe is in the ballpark for a fully charged 60 volt set of batteries. I'll have to install new batteries in the other meter and try it again.

What should 60 volt nominal full charge be?

I've got five 12 volt 20 ah SLA batteries in my bike and I am using a 60 volt 2.5 amp charger on the batteries. My question is; when the batteries are fully charged the reading I get on the volt meter is 91.5 volts DC. Is that normal or on the high side? Should I be worrying about the...

Five 12 volt batteries need charging????

Thanks for the info guys. I would have went for the regular bike frame, but, it would be difficult for our dog to ride comfortably on the bar in front of me, instead, on the scooter type frame he can ride down at my feet and get on and off on his own. Also, it would be akward to carry a full...

Five 12 volt batteries need charging????

I guess I forgot to mention that if you are going to reply to my post then please show some form of intelligence please. I was told that folks here are really smart and helpful and the reply above certainly counters what I have been told about this forum.

Five 12 volt batteries need charging????

Hello, I've got five 12 volt batteries (non-stock) in my GIO 500+ electric scooter. I have been charging the 4 stock (48 volt) batteries with the stock charger and using a 2 amp car battery charger on the 5th battery and it was getting to be a pain so now I have acquired a 60 volt charger that...

Is there an electronis genius in the house?

The following 3 pictures are of the burnt alarm system board for my 500W+. If you are good at electronics can you tell me where I'd look for the component that died when I fed this 48 volt unit 60 volts. I'd really like to learn how to repair it if at all possible and a few clues about...

I WANT TO INCREASE MY BIKE'S RANGE WITH EXTRA BATTERIES

Lock, thanks for the explanation, now I get it. I believe that if I would have had Dave Mezzi's name and address just after I first realized what I had got myself into with my first nightmare of an e-bike, that came all broken and and not working, that I think that I would have dragged him...

I WANT TO INCREASE MY BIKE'S RANGE WITH EXTRA BATTERIES

I just checked the price at JoyFay and it wasn't bad, then I checked shipping and it was $378. so I don't think that I'll be buying from them. That's alittle too crazy for me. I haven't checked amp draw yet of the new shunt (need a meter) but now I'm thinking about building my own 48 volt 40...

I WANT TO INCREASE MY BIKE'S RANGE WITH EXTRA BATTERIES

I did a little checking with Ping to determine my lithium battery requirements and below is my question in black font and further down is Ping’s reply in blue font. Any opinions or concerns here about their recommendations? Also, how do I answer Ping about their question relevant to peak...

Now that is a very cool and innovative idea!!! Does mixing lead/acid and lithium have any adverse affects?

I WANT TO INCREASE MY BIKE'S RANGE WITH EXTRA BATTERIES

Since I am retired I do not use my scooter for daily trips back and forth to work, but, my wife uses hers to go back and forth to work on a random basis, 3 - 7 hours a day, 6 kilometer round trip, so it may be possible to have her charge her scooter at work and that would take care of hers...

I WANT TO INCREASE MY BIKE'S RANGE WITH EXTRA BATTERIES

Lock, they sure look pretty in the picture don't they? But, I was deeply disappointed with what I received initially, but, GIO followed through on taking care of all my warranty issues on the first bike and this drew me into purchasing the second bike, but, this was back when the auction price...

I WANT TO INCREASE MY BIKE'S RANGE WITH EXTRA BATTERIES

Here's my greatest concern about springing the big bucks for lithium batteries for me bikes. Let's say, for example, after I make the transition to lithium I'll post here about the swap with some problem or another with the new lithium packs then I'll end up with a couple of pages of negative...

I WANT TO INCREASE MY BIKE'S RANGE WITH EXTRA BATTERIES

Absolutely fantastic reply wesnewell. I'm not exactly dumb when it comes to machines, but, I am very new to this electric stuff and th learning curve is very steep, but, your replies are so clear that I'm learning quickly. I'll start looking for a deal on a 6 volt battery of the type you...

I WANT TO INCREASE MY BIKE'S RANGE WITH EXTRA BATTERIES

Thanks for the info. I fully understand the benefits of lithium and will go that way when these batteries die, which may be very soon as I understand here, but, the issue remains about what can I do with the existing batteries that are only a few weeks old and have only been recharged 3 times...

I WANT TO INCREASE MY BIKE'S RANGE WITH EXTRA BATTERIES

Wow, you hit that one on the nail head. They would have been much better off making my scooter with front wheel drive and using the handlebars for pedals so they'd be usable at least. BTW, I made changes to reflect the ampere hour of the battery correctly and I placed my location in my profile...

I WANT TO INCREASE MY BIKE'S RANGE WITH EXTRA BATTERIES

Please tell me if I am thinking right here. I need a little more range from my GIO 500W+ which is currently equipped with 4 lead/acid batteries 48 volts with 20 ah output per battery. I do not want more speed as cops are all over here, I just want to be able to reliably get back and forth to my...
