    Old Currie USPD Battery Question

I think running 36v will seriously cook that old controller in there. I think they were 450w by the way. Decent system for the day. Personally I wouldn't put too much cash in it, at this point. EBike technology and battery power has gone a million miles since then. Time to get into one of...

    bypass controller

I think Matt is onto something here. Seems the most likely scenario is a broken neck, or worse! I'm not a math wiz, but I know the system is meant to run with a PWM controller (Pulse Width Modulation). PWM systems are much like light switches. They don't vary the voltage, but they flip the...

    Frustrated with new Izip purchase

gskbrew, I've worked with a few of Currie's bikes over the years. Having something fail right away, and twice sounds really horrible, but those guys have been around a long time, like 15 years or so, and have always come thru for warranties, and sometimes a bit over the written one. Their 2014...

(iZip Zuma) vs (Pedego Cruiser) vs (Prodeco Phantom X)

Currie has been using a different frame manufacturer for a couple years now, and has changed the design, so that old shaking problem is gone now.

    Stuck in WOT

The controller may not be the issue! You could try turning the system on, and removing the throttle at the connector. If the WOT stops, then you most likely just have a throttle issue. I've read the rest of this thread, but I still don't see if you have any connection to either or both of...

Using SLA chargers for LiFeP04 batteries

The RTMB battery pack is not LiFePo4! You may not want to use that charger!

How to determine which Currie motor is installed?

To my knowledge the Trailz bikes have always had a 450 watt motor. If it's stock, that's what it has.
