Will i have too little current for weld ?

Ok so if it releases so much energy as you've seen in the video, will nine 100v 10 000 uf capacitors in parralel not produce enough discharge on a 12v charge ? How about if i charge it to 24 or 48v ?

Will i have too little current for weld ?

I hear what you say. I want to use a solenoid with a switch connected to the cap bank i mentioned above. I know a solenoid setup is not the best solution but its what i can get locally.

Will i have too little current for weld ?

OK i want to believe what you saying but why does this guy's setup work with normal caps ?

Will i have too little current for weld ?

Ok this is a parralel connection yes ? The spotwelds seem a bit overpowered but it obviously does work. All want to know is if i put a 150 amp starter solenoid on my 9 cap 100v 10 000uf cap bank with a switch using a 12v psu to charge the bank. Will my welds be better than the above link.

Will i have too little current for weld ?

So what does this mean the capacitor bank i have is too weak ? I have seen capacitors this size melt nuts together... i just need to spot weld 18650s. How should i configure the cap bank then ?

Will i have too little current for weld ?

Hi guys. I want to build a spot welder such as this I want to replace the battery with a 12v PSU and capacitor bank. i need some help. I have 9 10000 uf capacitors connected in parallel connected to a 1000 ohm resistor . If i charge it with a 12v 67 amp power supply. Will the discharge be...

    Affordable and fast possible ?

Thanks deffx, at the moment i'm thinking the same, however won't be able to afford both, so might go the motorbike route thx. But still would like an e-bike, so perhaps do one as a long term goal as you say. Just going to take much longer... :(

    Affordable and fast possible ?

Thank you both for the info, i think i'm going to take some time and think thoroughly about whether i should do this or go with a motorbike, the link to the dropouts thanks, that might be a good option, i was wondering if the bike will handle much different with a powersystem than without, so...

    Affordable and fast possible ?

Awesome, thanks Wes :D Should i go ahead, i will definitely use the cheaper packs ! :D If anyone can comment wrt to my other questions regarding the frame ? I take it the esc is included, is this a brushed or brushless motor ? (2nd link) i would think brushless would be the way to go... ?

    Affordable and fast possible ?

lol.... :D you cracking me up here.... (...i can't even pay for the ambulance ride...doh..) Well from your reply i guess 65 km/h would probably look like the better choice. Agreed doing these kind of speeds in traffic is stoopid. I just like to have the extra power/speed. I'm thinking...

    I'm a Noob and I Wanna Go 50MPH

Heck i wouldn't even try to turn at those speeds on an mtb, nevermind taking it on a track to race ! ! !

    I'm a Noob and I Wanna Go 50MPH

I see a lot of arguing going on in this thread, how about just some pictures of the bikes built that can go 50 mph + I say if you can't handle a bike over 30 mph then don't post saying it can't or should not be done, because it has been done and obviously should be done by those who is overly...

    Affordable and fast possible ?

Hi everyone, i'm new here and would like to know if affordable and fast can be put into the same sentence with regards to building an E-bike ? Just to mention i have a cycling background and am used to going fast, however for an e-bike i would only occasionally want to go to 80 km/h Can anyone...
