    Proper phase wire setup

It has been confirmed. The controller is not compatible with a Mac. I will see what Lyen has or try to find a used one.

    Proper phase wire setup

48v40a crystalyte 6fet controller and 48v 20ah lifepo4 battery. So 1920 watts. The motor is designed for 48v. Does the Mac motor need a different throttle? All I need to know is the color sequence of the phase wires inside a 500w Mac from left to right when looking at the wired side. Not from...

    Proper phase wire setup

I thought I had it correct because it ran fine under no load. With a load on it the motor starts normally then quickly looses power and makes a chatter sound. I tried just swapping two wires but that didn't work. One combination made it run in reverse. Is there anyone that has mated these two...

    Proper phase wire setup

Hey Guys, I am replacing my HT35 with a Mac. My controller is the 4840 crystalyte from electric rider. Does anyone know the proper combination of phase wires ( Y,G,B)? I do not need the hall sensor setup because I just run sensorless. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks, Gypsy

    Xlyte HT35 Dragging--Need Help

Would that cause the issue even if nothing is connected? The motor is dragging with no power connected to it.

    Xlyte HT35 Dragging--Need Help

Hey All, my Xlyte HT35 is suddenly dragging. When hand rotated it feels just like the normal drag but about 5x greater or more. It is steady and smooth just like the normal drag you get from the stator-rotor interaction. This is the same fully connected and on as well as everything...

    eBike propmotion in Oklahoma City.

I have driven my eBike for over a year now and am still loving it. Lately lots and lots of people have been approaching me about my bike. I live in Oklahoma and am mainly around NW OKC. I think that after watching me ride for a few years they are starting to trust me and are curios about ev...

    SLA Trike build

She already has the trike. It is basically a recumbent with 2 rear wheels. I think a QQ motor would work but I am not sure about the controller. Would any 36V controller work or will I need a special one for the SLA chemistry?

    SLA Trike build

Hey fellas. I am trying to do a build for an elderly lady who wants a trike. She can't afford any Lithium based solutions but on a trike I can mount some SLAs. Anyone know what would be the most affordable motor, controller and battery for that. 24V or maybe 36v. She would be happy with some...

    Good affordable rims?

Does anyone have a suggestion for a good and affordable rim to lace up at xlyte HT35? The stock rim that came with it will not stay true. Any comments on rim width would be helpful as well. The tire I am running is a Schwalbe Marathon Plus 26"x 1.75" and v brakes.

Good place to buy from ???

I buy from Electric Rider. They are located in Texas and have excellent customer service. http://www.electricrider.com/Default.asp The G8 is a really strong geared hub motor. http://www.electricrider.com/Electric-Bike-Geared-Hub-Motor-Laced-to-Rim-p/g-w.htm

    Li-poly noob questions.

I ended up building a 14S3P pack because I got a good deal on some 18650 cells. I still want to build the 12S pack from those Hobbyking hardcases though for a cruiser or fixie build. Electric rider can supply the charger and EM3ev can probably tune one for it.

    Flats...dreaded FLATS!

Thanks for the responses fellas. I decided to go with Schwalbe Marathon Plus. I just wish I could get them wider than 1.75" (I am currently running 2.4"). I think my problem is you get what you pay for and while the Cyclops tires look and ride super nice they were cheap and thin as a result.

    Li-poly noob questions.

I went with one from http://em3ev.com/store/index.php?route=product/product&path=37&product_id=120. It is the same as the one from electric rider but it charges at 5A and was cheaper. I use the electric rider charger for my LifePO4 though. These are bulk chargers and you do need a BMS to use them.

    Li-poly noob questions.

It is me, I am building eBikes for local customers in Oklahoma City. As far as I can tell the only eBikes available around here are Curries and online sources. We are just getting started but awareness is growing rapidly. We are hoping to convert bunch of brand new eBikers in OKC this summer!

    Flats...dreaded FLATS!

I have a treacherous "gutter ride" to work each day and am experiencing flats...a lot of flats! The flats are due to multiple hazards including glass, potholes, stickers and nails and such...hell I even had a tack once. Wall-mart is right there so anything could be in the road literally. I...

Is This A First Good eBike Kit, Will It Do 30MPH?

Check out http://Electricrider.com, they supply me and have great service. The Phoenix kits will achieve the results you want. I use a 48V20aH battery and a 4840 controller. Their batteries are high quality but pricey...if you can build a li-poly then go with a Lyen controller and some hobbyking...
