    I figured it out. You can get a very small screwdriver and prise in the top of the metal edges of the in the female socket on the battery. That's where the connector had gotten loose over time. No problems now.

    I think i have figured out whats gone wrong. I ordered a 48V 201rpm Q128CST when I should have ordered a 36V Q128CST and run it at 48v. The website I was ordering from did not have a 36V Q128CST.

    On mine I did not use any washers on the inside. The dropouts rest on the hexagonal nuts that are on the axle. Is that correct or should washers be placed on the inside? I checked and there is no rubbing on either side.

    the odd thing is from pas 3 to pas 5 i didnt get much increase in speed. Torque, yes, but not speed. with my 1000w ddrive 30a from 3 to 5 pas gave a significant incease. Id be happy around the 22/3 mph mark but just seemed a bit slow.

    I've been playing around with this and done some research etc. The C2 setting are the motor phases. Most LCD's have settings from 0-7. Bafang would be 0 and 1-7 for a sine wave controller. However my KT-LCD8H only has 2 values or C2, 0 or 1. For 0 the pedal assist is bit "noisy"? It sounds...

    I was right about it not being correct. The reduction ratio is 10.5 but the number of magnets is 16. However the supplier has said to set the P1 to 147 for Q128 CST. 10.5 x 16 = 168.

    Ah that manual is much better. Its ok I initially thought that the PAS settings could be controlled by the LCD but I see now it will need to be done via reprogramming. Its ok it was more of a "is it easy to do" but it doesn't seem to be that useful to reprogram it.

    Does the Q128CST come in a 32 hole? I cant seem to find a 32 hole version only the 36 hole. It looks like only the Q100CSt comes in a variety of spoke holes.
