Bench testing A2B metro hub motor

BTW, I paid 300 pounds in London UK on an Ebay Auction. It was listed as a non-runner. Running models in good condition go for about 3-4 times that. Here's a similar example on ebay...

Bench testing A2B metro hub motor

Thanks Zarcon, super helpful! I like the bit on 7.1 where they say that connectors are not individually marked so make sure that you mark them otherwise you'll have a hell of a job working out which one is which! Just thinking about all the wires I'll have to get out of the hub to my external...

Bench testing A2B metro hub motor

Have successfully opened the motor up. Don't know if it happened when opening the hubs but the black power wire has broken free where it entered the potting compound. I think that I'd like to ditch the internal controller anyway and have an external controller which will run cooler. Preferably...

If so then I can have a choice of using a ready made generic pack or rebuilding the existing pack. A generic pack would be around 200 pounds. Rebuilding...

    A2B Metro plug pins map?

I've opened up the battery. You are right about two pins each for positive/negative on each side. The pin at the top does have a use, and there is also a small sixth pin both have a wire on the inside going to the circuit board.. On the inside of the plug the extra wires are coloured orange...

    A2B Metro plug pins map?

Hi Everybody, I have bought an A2B Metro as a spares and repairs job very cheaply, should be an interesting project. I'm pretty sure that the rear battery will need rebuilding, I've read a lot about how to rebuild bike batteries and I know some other people with experience of ebike battery...
