Unknown Hub Motor and new Chinese controller the size of 1/2 loaf of bread. Issues running.

And thank you for mentioning this. I never heard the one running way too fast with zero torque. I guess the controller is just not very fast. I got too exited with the combination that runs very fast it seems. Truth be told this is my first time doing phase combinations. Usually by looking at...

Unknown Hub Motor and new Chinese controller the size of 1/2 loaf of bread. Issues running.

Thank you fot responding so quickly. I followed this one https://electricbike.com/forum/filedata/fetch?id=49479&d=1509377475. It quickly gets to both me scenarios but it's still the same dealio.. a controller that can spin this 500W motor to the point where it feels like it's going to explode...

Unknown Hub Motor and new Chinese controller the size of 1/2 loaf of bread. Issues running.

Good evening, So Im having a little strange predicament. Now don't get me wrong I've been around, I'm not fully green when it comes to blowing up controllers, jimmy-ing open stubborn hub motors and of course globs. But this issue is interesting to me. So basically I ended up blowing up my...

Hub motor locks when given throttle

Over volting? I mean this motor doesn't seem to ever get hot and they are always rated ridiculously. 500w motor ridden at 2000w seems to be no issue. I think the hall fault was me sorting it accidentally and giving it full throttle. Got some SS41F's coming in Monday. Fed-ex overnight but they...

Hub motor locks when given throttle

Im guessing the added gauge straight fried those old unbranded 41Fs...I ordered 10 new honeywell ones. I don't know much about hall sensors but maybe there are compatible ones but are more sturdy when it comes to high current?

Hub motor locks when given throttle

Hub motor locks when given throttle

The sprucing meant switching to 10AWG from the 18 or whatever was there before. So... After many many hours.. I checked the controller and all the Fets, all the caps and lines I have no idea, it seems to be in perfect shape. The motor I basically cleaned and rebuilt no shorts, all wires...

Hub motor locks when given throttle

Thanks for the quick reply ill check that because it was indeed hard fitting bigger gauge wires though that little hole. One thing happened one time when I was testing different phase combinations was there was a spark at the phase wire connection where the controller/wheel wires meet. Don't...

Hub motor locks when given throttle

Hey guys, So I decided to spruce up my phase wires one afternoon and after finishing and plugging everything back together my motor wont spin. When given throttle it locks up and my voltage gauge drops. Seems this thing is taking in so much darn current. I went ahead and un-globbed my shunts on...

Electrical issue with a 2015 Motorino Xpd 60v

Well after testing it with another controller the bike works. Its the classic case of "honey i blew up my controller". P.S. my other post mysteriously vanished. Just like my previous controller. Thanks for the input guys.

Electrical issue with a 2015 Motorino Xpd 60v

Good evening yall, So i took off my DC converter to check if it can run at 72v. After putting everything back together I decided to check if everything is working at 60v. So i turn the bike on and... well I guess some thermal paste must have gotten on the pcb because I hear a BBZZZFFFF and...

    Help wiring brakes.

Sorry I just assumed that since the controller lines up with the output of the bike, one would just say to use those wires. And I thanks I didn't know about the shorting trick, but I realized I actually did it unknowingly and what happens is i don't get my motor running. I think the break and 3...

    Help wiring brakes.

Hello all, I sure do hope this is the correct sub-forum to post this in. But I am having troubles with wiring the rear brakes. I got everything right I think and everything works just not the back break. I still have no idea what the point of that yellow wire is also if I connect the...
