Has anybody looked at trying to adapt an EVO scooter 2 speed transmission?

looks like it can take in excess of 5 hp.... accepts over 10k rpm... has a clutch... belts inside and belt to the wheel. Not sure what the ratio is.

I've noticed that some initial gear down setups do not have any support for the RC motor axle. i.e., there is no bushing/bearing on the other side of the axle. Can the motor stand that type of abuse or would it be wise to have a high speed bearing supporting the axle? My gut tells me this...
Any thoughts about throwing in a large circuit breaker before the ESC (200 amp or so, depending)? That way you could provide protection from smoking the controller(s) while you test out your design.
It doesn't matter if you have the mother of all codec packs installed - if the file size is null, zip, zero, zilch, nada.... there is nothing to play. :)
