I just finished my project and must say it exceed my expectations. Electric assist is surely the way to go. 6 amps on a 40km ride doing 40km/h is a blast.

I will do more test and try to update my website as often as possible.

Yeah, that's not bad. How many volts is this at, I didn't catch. 48?

Anodized. Nice. What'd that cost you?

Nice work FJ ! Welcome to the forum!

What is your amp draw at full throttle, with no load (wheel off the ground)?

We have a mega-thread on using RC motors, here: http://www.endless-sphere.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=4625

Awsome work.
Very nice machinig finish.
How much did it cost you for parts? motor, controllers, gears, itc
At speed 20-25 mph is it loud?

Thank you

Nice work! But I read you were having a bit of trouble with the BMX hub. Something about it having a little wobble. i had a little idea and I wondered if you think it might work:
Do you think you could do away with the BMX hub, and one of the chains, all together and put a bigger sprocket with a freewheel mechanism on the wheel axle?

No problem. This was my first go and I used stuff that I know would work. The next one would be much simpler.

I have updated the website and you could find the cost of parts I used on there. It is not loud at all. I have a 10Ah 12S1P LiPo pack.
