[USA] Will Tariffs come about and lead to higher priced ebike parts

Well, there is a positive benefit-- much safer and pleasant riding for me, not being pushed around and challenged by the normally incessant abusive semi truck traffic (container shuttling) in that area.

[USA] Will Tariffs come about and lead to higher priced ebike parts

Not only economic interruption, but supply chain interruption. I ride past a major Pacific Coast port fairly often. It's been a ghost town for several weeks, not a good sign.

Mac wheel MYT e-bike loss of power

What is the actual problem? LED battery charge indicators on the display (and especially battery) are known to be notoriously inaccurate. What happens when you actually ride the bike? Your thread title "Mac wheel MYT e-bike loss of power" could mean a lot of things.

Moving this thread to EScooters/EMotorcycles as it is a emotorcycle, not an ebike.

[USA] Will Tariffs come about and lead to higher priced ebike parts

That is clearly insider trading knowledge. For that you must be either family or "friends" of dear leader.

No. 3d printer files are no help in finding a listing of USA distributors for ebike/emotorcycle parts.

20kw continuous motor enough for small 2000lb 40-45mph car ?

I don't know what the numbers are. I used your 53 HP number for the Fiat in the example.

48V hub motor controller supporting regen before May 14, 2025

IIRC the Bionx can be set to 0 assist and max regen so you end up pedaling against a high regen load. Never measured the actual wattage generated.

20kw continuous motor enough for small 2000lb 40-45mph car ?

Your first premise there is flawed in at least two ways: ICE is approx. only 20% efficient, with nearly 70% of the potential energy in the fuel is wasted as heat (mostly thru the radiator). The ICE HP rating is measured after the excess generated heat is disposed of. Meaning your 52 HP Fiat ICE...

48V hub motor controller supporting regen before May 14, 2025

Bionx = defunct tech. Suggest you try pedaling @ 200W for an extended period of time, just to get a rough idea of your expectations.

Yes we do this all the time. Just be careful to expose one wire at a time, no short circuits, especially with the battery leads! How good are your soldering/ crimping skills?

Comment, criticize my build. But be nice I’m new!

No, it's the opposite, but you can't realistically go any smaller on the front. In fact, 9t is already suboptimal in terms of chain drive mechanics (reliability, durability, noise, etc.).

DIY rear rack battery mount (or not?)

OTOH, you may have to run your own tests: Keep the real battery where it is for now. Install the rack of choice. Strap 8 lbs. of bricks (or equivalent)(roughly in the shape of your battery) to the rack. (Dummy battery) Fill the panniers with your typical load. Go for some extended road tests...

How important is the donor bike?

For me, that 2000 - 2010 date range is the golden range for conversion donor candidate. Frame is likely steel or aluminum, not carbon fiber, it has simple unfancy dropouts that can easily accomodate a hubmotor, is likely a 7 speed that is also compatible with a hubmotor, and has a simple...
