    Two derrailours on one shifter

Herrsprocket, the only thing i can find on that site is a cable splitter, that connects 2 cables with one (or the opposite) Alltho their solution looks fancy, i fail to see why it is better than the wire(cable) lock i mentioned earlier. Thank you guys for helping me decide, i now feel confident...

    Two derrailours on one shifter

Hos would one connect the pipes for a hydraulic brake system? I assume that not many have this problem, so i doubt there is a over the counter solution available..? I think hydraulic brake systems are a better option but unfortunately they are a bit beyond this projects budget.. But still, the...

    Two derrailours on one shifter

Hi all! Im building a social tandem trike with two rear wheels and i have some questions that needs answers. The project is for a family who´s daughter has special needs, so she cannot use any brakes or gears due to congnitive dificulties, witch further complicates the project. Since it will...

Co-designer wanted, 3 wheeled tilting car

Thank you for your very insightful post! It must have taken you seconds to scrible that together, and from the bottom of my heart, i thank you for taking the time and effort.

Co-designer wanted, 3 wheeled tilting car

Hey! I just launched my website, hordur.se still, swedish tho, so no luck for most of you guys... :P But babelfish or equal translation services should be able to fix it for you :) i must say, ive been twisting my head around a mechanical self-centering tilt function, but realized i simply...

Co-designer wanted, 3 wheeled tilting car

As the cad design comes together more and more, i realize that a gravity-controlled tilt function is a bit too complicated for me. So now ive started investigating in electronicly controlled tilt function. Does anyone have suggestions for the tilt actuators? The control box is still a "bit"...

Co-designer wanted, 3 wheeled tilting car

Thank you all very much for the supportive posts! And of course, this will be minutely documented, both with cad models, photos and text. :) My website about this project is popping up within a month or two, and my newer cad app is supposed to be able to post 3d websites, making it easy to...

Co-designer wanted, 3 wheeled tilting car

The front end is coming together nicely, front A-frames from a offroad quad will be used, with a pendulum to swing the upper A-frames to allow the tilting motion. It will clear further when i eventually get a grip on the cad app, but for now im feeling VERY exited about this project :D I found...

    electric bike/car electronics..?

Ive started sketching up my dream project, a 3 wheeled bike, and wondering about the electronics.. i really must have regen braking, but im unshure of where i can get it..? I also read about thease shock absorbers (springs) that can charge the battery..?? ME WANT!! where can i get it or how...

Co-designer wanted, 3 wheeled tilting car

im trying to learn a cad app, solid works. Ive finally managed to get a basic spring movement on the rear wheel, so im slowly getting there.. :) I still havent figured out the front frame tho.. and solidworks isnt really bult as a sketch app.. :P well, every small step in the right direction.. :)

Co-designer wanted, 3 wheeled tilting car

Mitch, the leaning bike is tilted by the same techniqe as a 2 wheel motorcykle, by the driver holding its balance. And for most other leaning "cars" out there, they are almost esclusively tilted by hydralics or other means of mechanical angle ajustments. I want this to stand true even when...

Co-designer wanted, 3 wheeled tilting car

that spring system was VERY cool! :D I discussed this project with a friend today, and there is off the shelf springs with that function :) I was reading the tech news the other day, and found a article about shock absorbing electrical generators, that utilizes the wheels bouncing as power...

Co-designer wanted, 3 wheeled tilting car

I thank you for your very satisfying drawing, it looks very nice! :D What application are you using and can you extract technical drawings with measurements and stuff? Your design relies on a metal frame, witch i was concidering avoiding, by using a glassfibre hull. I build some rc model...

Co-designer wanted, 3 wheeled tilting car

Im starting on a new project, a leaning 3wheeled "car" type bike with 1 or 2 seats and a cockpit similar to a sailplane. I know this sounds crazy, but i think i might actually be able to pull it of, with some much needed help to design the darn thing.. :) I have a generalized idea, but nothing...

    Building my E-Bike

Thanks for the link, but ive got some other plans for it :) I did get some good hints and ideas tho, to add throttle cut button to connect to the breaks among other things :) I did some machining this weekend, fixed the sprockets onto the motor and rear wheel, but ended up with a pile of...

    Building my E-Bike

i figure its time for a slight update.. the gears arrived today, a 10T for the motor and a 92T for the rear wheel. for the moment the acceleration isnt my top priority, but i need to get this project running in order to improve it further :) Ive started designing the gear adapters and the...

    Building my E-Bike

I will order the sprockets next week so i will have a complete drivetrain by the end of this month :) some bits are still missing a final solution, i dont think its a good idea to run a "stiff" drivetrain, without any type of clutch/one way bearing. the easiest so far would be gocart clutch...

    Building my E-Bike

Ok, the plan has changed a slight bit.. :) as with many of my projects, i start on one thing and end up with something completely different :) The current plan is a single stage transmission with 1:9,2 ratio (10T and 92T gocart sprockets) with chain and chain-tensioner. With my latest...

    Building my E-Bike

I havent gotten that far in the progress yet. The gear is so far very optional, and will eventually have to be removed anyways (since it probably wont cope almost 3kW of power :) ). The motor is now at customs waiting to be declared, and i really cant wait untill i get my hands on that monster...

    Building my E-Bike

Ive done some sketching in my 3d app. The measurements are supposed to be fairly accurate, even tho the angles are probably off. But it shows my basic plan.. i also calculated the size for the gear assembly and found that if my sketch is correct i will have to use aprox 10:1 ratio on the last...

    Building my E-Bike

as i am browsing thru your weblog recumpence, i came to think of the chain idlers and wanted to share :) i will use skateboard or rollerblade wheels with groove for chain cut into them. eather cut the groove in a lathe or simply by fastening them on the spindle of my handheld electric drill...

    Building my E-Bike

i was thinking of this when i ordered the esc, the esc has auto shutof in case of lost signal (rc link), meaning if it lost signal with servo tester, the thing would shut down. This in turn means that i could implement a overload cutoff, that every time it draws over DNE amps (do never exeed)...
