    Howzabout putting batteries in front? Not on the handlebars mind you but maybe the center pole via panniers. It seems thats the general ebike layout calls for too much weight in back. What woulld be the pros & cons of redistributing 10 or more pounds towards the front?

    I got a hub kit from HTB running 36v and I'd like to have a front mounted lantern for nightime but I thought itd be nice to let it be powered off my power supply. Of course thats alot of power but perhaps theres a safe way to divert enough power to keep a basic light shining?

    hmm lots of good information. well anyway I got a great deal on some 5ah packs so I'll give it a shot. I think my commute is closer to 3 miles and Perhaps I wont feel the need to do full throttle constantly. I'll post back with the resullts.
