10 or 12 AWG

I am rewiring the motor wiring.

But can 12 AWG handle continuous handle 35A? Wire length is about 1 meter.
I am prefering 12 AWG because of the scpace problem.

yes, 12AWG up to 40A, over that it starts warming up a little, but even 60 won't be a problem since the battery can't push that much current long enuff to make it hot. imo.

Okay then I don't have to use 10 AWG for last 90 cm of wires.
I can use full length of 100 cm 12 AWG wire
