Oxymoron, much? No idea where to get such a thing. Think go-kart tires are rated to 120mph, though.

Excel aluminum motorcycle rims spoked to bicycle hubs

The wheel master

The Wheelmaster
will spoke it all together for you the wheels will be light but not cheap. Then you could put any motorcycle tire on the wheels that meet your needs

They spoked this motorcycle rim to a X5 hub for me
You have to supply the Hub
I recommend a hub like the picture below

Yea I just looked up what I payed It was 190 for Labor and the spokes plus extra for the rim and hub but you should talk to Jim or Morey at the Wheelmaster to get a current price.

shipping depends on where your shipping too I'm not sure what I payed but its never cheap I always feel that the cost of shipping is a rip off but what you going to do.

That bike is freakin Awesome! Nice job on it! Did you do everything yourself? Do you have street tags on it or is it still a "bicycle" by law?

Thanks I don't want to hijack this thread but I will answer your questions
Yes I did everything myself
I am in the process of getting a vin number and plates. I've sent in all the paperwork and had conversations with technical services at the DMV. They got my paperwork and have given me a verbal OK on the bike that it meets all DOT regulations, so its looking good that it will be getting plates as a motorcycle, which is what I want.

I have a thread on the forum and it's best if further questions happen there so we don't hijack this tread as I said earlier
here is the link

Thanks again

Ask your lawyer - If it's got no pedals, i'm pretty sure it ain't a bicycle.

In the mean time you could call it an off road vehicle - just about anything that is not street legal can be an off road vehicle.

well in missouri any 2 or 3 wheeled vehicle with 3 gross hp or less that goes 30mph or less on flat ground is concidered a motorized bicycle like all those pocket rockets and such are legal here belive it or not but a town close to me has a local ordanace that basicly bans any thing even our electric bikes so even if your legal under state law a local law can get you is some places thats why i like how covert you can make a ebike if you do it right ie hide wires put batterys and controller in trunk packs and run with no speedometer or drainbrain

hey markcycle were did your front end come from almost looks like a sportster front end cool bike i also had a coversation with my highway patrol office and as long as you have recieps for every thing and your ebike goes fast enough to be concidered a motorcycle it sounds like its doable in mo too but if its regestered as a motorcycle you have to keep up with traffic and dont have the option to ride on the sholder any more witch means you need bigger more powerfull batterys and by the time i would do all that id be better to just to a motorcyle to emotercycle conversion there is so much overlap out there and the lines get fuzzy at times

i found a avon tire rated at 100mph comes in 12 13 14 15 and16 inch sizes and they are designed for these faster scooters like a helix or the china knokoff versions of such just google 100mph scooter tire and you will find it

My Motorcycle is a Motorcycle I'm getting a VIN number, Plates, registration and insurance for it. She goes 45 MPH and keep up with traffic. The front end is from a Tomos Moped, but rated for 60 MPH the fork is a EBR fork from Italy as are the front wheel and brake from Italy.

The bike has 2 motors a hub motor 5302 which will use a 6kw kelly controller and a 3kw brush motor designed to improve acceleration and is revved out by 30MPH
This bike was completely designed and built by me in my shop
Please lets move all discussions about the motorcycle to this thread http://endless-sphere.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=3965

Motorcycle Rims / Tires

For serious speed and strength the way to go would be to upgrade to motorcycle rims and tires:

If you use a 3.00" x 18" motorcycle rim and tire you would get an outside diameter of about 18" + 3" + 3" = 24". This might be a little more or less depending on the tire. My tires are this size... it's a good size.

The most important concern is the chain clearance on the rear wheel. The moment you go wider than 3" the standard rear hub becomes too narrow for the chain to clear... so that's your upper limit unless you switch to one of the super wide chopper bicycle rear hubs that can go all the way to 4.25". They have a three speed for that:
