Don't see why not. Until my Milwaukee 6-pack arrived today I've been using 3 18v nicad Ryobi packs in series. Good for 18-20mph on my high wound 4011 for a couple miles. I probably reduced the cell life a lot on those poor cells in the last few days, but it worked in a pinch. The lithium would fare better I imagine.
