Remember this is a genuine street legal (UK) registered vehicle.

saw this car on Robert Llewelyn's Fully Charged on youtube. Phenomenal job, I like Jonny Smith. He doesn't mind going against convention, for example when my car the Honda Insight Mk1 was being reviewed by both Clarkson and Smith (separately). Clarkson absolutely rubbished it whilst Johnny didn't seem to have a bad word to say. I would quite like a go in the Enfield Flux but think I might need a spare pair of trousers.

No, it can't be fast - it's direct drive with no gear reduction and everyone on the internets knows a multi-ratio gear reduction is faster and more efficient...

Deathbike 8.0 should be a faster quarter mile

Reminds me of the White Zombie. :)

If the 1/4 mile vehicle (quickest accelerating) is going to try to use the idea that it's a street driven vehicle. It should be a production vehicle of so many units, otherwise it's only how much money that can be throw at it will determine the quickest "street vehicle".

I'm going to strap a rocket to my recumbent, quickest and fastest pedal powered bike in the world

..that would be the "Producction/stock" class....much slower

Yes, that is the "Street legal" class that this is running in. Same as "White Zombie"

..but that wont be Production/stock, or street legal, or pedal powered , or even wheel driven..!..
...so you will be in with all the other Rocket powered vehicles.

The point I'm trying to make is: Where does it end. You could take any pre-1973 (the easiest way to not have to pass the street legal test, anything newer would have to go to the referee station in California) street vehicle and drop a more powerful electric drive train into it and beat this car. It's just how much money do you want to throw at it.

So your also saying all my Ebikes are not pedal powered? Where did I go wrong???

It ends with the chief tech guy at the track.
He will want to be convinced ,..documentation,...of the street legal compliance ( you didnt read the "UK" note ?..pre 73 doesnt avoid anything in the UK)..
He will also decide which class your rocket powered pedal bike can run in .
But yes,...as with any racing the more you spend and the better resources you have,...the faster you can run !
So eventually someone will use a bigger motor, lighter car, better battery, etc , and run faster than this guy.
....but they have not managed to do that yet.!
Why dont you give it a try , if you think its so simple ?
