Thanks Miles,

Yes, it is. It looks good for using in a bike. :D

Matt said that would be good for about 2KW based on the belt.

Is there 2 available? If you want to buy an extra and ship to USA, I would be willing to pick the other up from you. Don't know much about international shipping, but I'd be interested at the right price.

Hi Etard,

They have it in stock. I don´t know which weight it have and how about tax if shipping. Shipping my NuVinci hub was about 100$. I think it
will cheaper to get one in USA, if possible.

Hi Veloman,

There´s no info about. I estimate first gear around 0.33, second gear around 0.6. The gear is on the way to me.
I will get the data asap.

Amazingly cheap, I got one just out of curiousity. Don't know where to put it yet. Maybe for the recumbent, when I 'unfrock' it.
I don't get it, how you shift the gears? Maybe automatic with centrifugal force. There must be some kind of freewheel ballbearings inside.
Once I learned how it works, I can adapt it to different ratios. Thicker alu-plates wouldn't be bad too.

<edit> Just read the wiki for this gearbox. Pretty simple, but I doubt, it can handle the torque of a huge bldc-motor very well.

It is bigger than I thought.

wheight: 2400 gr without clutch can
ratio 1 gear: 0.33
ratio 2 gear: 0.6

The construction is solid.

I disassembled the clutch and took some pictures.
It seems that the inner plate is rubbing against the bearing but thats an easy fix.

I'd more like to discuss if this could be redesigned to a dogbox-like gearbox.
I don't like the fact, that I have to press the clutch constantly in 2nd gear. I even have to bend the black clutcharm which adds a significant amount of force needed. A simple rubbergrommet on the thread would've fixed that...

A mechanism with a backcut like the dogboxes would be locking itselve until i pull at the clutch to switch back to 1st gear.
Any ideas? :)

The trikes like HP Scorpion use fixable "handbrakes" which can lock and unlock very fast. :)
