Here's a small friction clutch. Its from a 40cc bicycle engine kit. These engines need to be narrow, as they are frequently mounted between the knees of the rider. This clutch rim also acts as the primary gear-down if you notice the tiny gear on the crank. I'm looking into if tillers (or some other device) has a small cheap cable-actuated friction clutch instead of a centrifugal...
