hard to say, it's very quick 0-40. spins the tires off the line, spins them in the corners if you punch it. but it's a bit sluggish say, 40-80mph.
What I like, is that in town, or in the berkeley hills, it reminds me of my BMW 3 series, but left in 2nd gear all the time, if that makes sense? the powers always there if you need it, and it has heavy regen. when you punch the throttle it's always there, and when you let off it regens hard. but it's actually pretty slow. 0-60 in about 10s. Handling is excellent, more like the gti then the TDI. I test drove this and the Leaf, and took both on a gnarly freeway exit at high speed. the Golf handled itself well with a little body roll and a bit of a sideways slide, the Leaf was all over the place.
In theory, 110HP, 200ftLB torque, but since it's always just there, it feels much more immediate. 24kwh battery, same as leaf. I'm seeing 105miles per charge in moderate traffic in eco mode, 70 miles at 75mph.
I'd love to drag race any other EV drivers in the East bay. Or drag against e-bikes.
How's the performance? Do you find your self smiling while driving it? We have a ton of Bay area EV folks on here, we should have another SF bay EV meet.
