-Montreal, Canada willing to ship
PRICE: 1200$ per 16s10p pack I got 2 of those packs (add shipping depending)
I am selling 2 packs of 16s10P made of new molicell p42a. The packs were used one an electric snowbike university project for my bachelors in electrical engineering witch is now over.
QUALITY:
The prototype never rolled out and the packs were cycled around 10 times in tests. I cycled all of the cells I used before spotwelding them and they all came out at 3900-4000 mah.
BUILD:
The design was made for a racing prototype with 300A peak so I used 0.2 mm nickel plates I will include a picture of the plate pattern. the plates have been spotwelded twice (4 spots) at each cell with a sunstone cd200 at 300Ws. the plates were cut with waterjet for our design.
The cells are held together in a tight FR4 matrix that supports cells and protects from vibrations. The welded plates are isolated with a layer of kapton tape and then silicon thermal pad for heat transfer to a water cooling plates or aluminium frame (we planned to use watercooling but did not test the pack with it).
Each pack comes in a a protective Fr4 outter shell for storage and traveling.
Finally, the poles of the packs are custom made from 2mm thick copper bars that were glued with conductive silver epoxy.
There was 3 packs (or modules) in our battery pack and I dismantled one as you can see in the picks.
WIRES:
There is 21 thermocouples (white and black 24AWG) (kinda overkill I know..) through out each packs like the schematic shows. I will provide the part number. Each level or plate have a red 22 AWG wire soldered with a ring terminal for a more robust balancing link.
TESTS:
We tested each pack (16s10p) seperately and in series on an electronic load up to 100 amps for 10 minutes and everything looked good on the thermal camera. We used a BMS for discharge monitoring and balancing after recharge. Also as stated already all cells tested between 3900 and 4000 mah in the cyclor.
FINALLY:
Feel free to email/comment for any question. I'm new to this forum so I would appreciate input on this post since I got lots of other parts from that project to sell (BMS, isometer, adjustable cell holders, 18650 cells: VTC6 and LGHG2).
