I use the 24" x 3" tires on my bike and I can assure you that these tires give more traction than you would imagine possible on a bicycle. Given the lighter weight of an electric bike and the width of these tires I suspect you approach the cornering abilities of real full sized motorcycles and it makes the need for suspension much less because the extra inch of tire related suspension makes the road comfortable.

 Will all electric bikes one day carry 24" x 3" tires?

...or will suspension be the preferred way to solve the problem? The advantage of not needing suspension is that it's cheaper to build.

One of the nice things about the 24" x 3" tire is that the outside diameter is the same as that of a 26" tire, so as long as your frame is built wide enough for it you can swap these wheel / tire combinations back and forth on the same bike.

In my opinion the Innova "Road Hog" is the best tire you can currently buy. I really wish they would make their "Fat Cat" version into a 24" x 3" size, which they do not currently do. (though I've asked them about it)
