24S BMSFrom Battery Matrix.- EMC-400 Charger.

Just getting into ebikes.

I bought the 72 volt 24s 15ah Headway kit from Battery Matrix.

The BMS does not come with a wiring diagram but it seems fairly simple. However, this is a 24 cell BMS and there are 25 wires for the cells. I am not sure what the 25th is for. I am also not sure which one to not hook up? One connector has 12 wires and the other has 13. See attached pic. They also sent me a charger for a 48 volt pack. I was able to adust the correct pot and get it up to 87.6 volts. I had to replace the 63 volt capacitor with 100v as the 63 didn't care too much for 87.6 volts. all good now..

I think the 25th wire can be the pack's ground. You can confirm by continuity test.
How much does your pack weigh?

the first wire goes to the negative terminal of the first cell or the bottom of the battery B- and each wire after that goes to the top of each cell in the battery.

can you tell which is cell #1 and up to #24?

I finally found a similar BMS with a wiring diagram listed. yes. #1 goes to the first cell negative connection. Pack weight is about 26 Lbs with BMS. The bike is on the road now. It is stupid fast. Running crystalyte HS3540 with 40 amp infineon controller.
