Here's a video of it in action.

What made you folks use "Rumble" by Link Wray and the Raymen for your music? I haven't heard that since I was a kid! Oh yeah! The bike is quite nice too!

Hah, thanks for the kind words.

When we were working on the prototype it was one of the songs that managed to make it onto our playlist (it was stuck in my head one day). It just seemed like the right choice when we started the video.

The video was VERY well done! I think most consumers are way to worried about image rather than performance, but that video is so well-done that it looks like a professional Target stores commercial.

Most people still do not know that E-bikes exist. If you asked most of the members here what they thought of a 450W motor with 24V of SLA, and no front disc brake...most of the comments would be negative. But I can see the average person wanting to buy an affordable starter E-bike after seeing this video!

Would you guys be interested in making another video (in a few months) with an RC-friction drive?

I agree on the pro looking video ! Very impressed. An enclosure like that would "finish" my bike..

It would take the value up for sure.

And you did it on a basic entry level machine and it came out like a production bike !!

Well done. I am ready to see another 8)

Also using a frame with a low/ woman style top tube and mounting the batts. on top is so right. It gets the batts away from the pedals but not too high - simple

Thanks for all the kind words guys!

I can't take any credit for the video, it was the other guys in my group, along with my roommate Taylor who are responsible for such a pro looking video. They used a friends DSLR that can do hi-def video to get such good results, and Taylor did a great job of editing the video on the computer.

Our goal was to make an affordable e-bike, but do it right. Getting the balance right, fixing all the issues, making it fun to ride. And the bike really is super fun to ride, the weight just feels so perfect where it is. Thanks for kind comments!

thanks! We may be ready to do another go with the bike, but chances are the other projects we are going to be hit with will make any further development on the bike possible. The good news is we have been in constant contact with the president of Currie Technologies, and we actually sent him the video today. If he likes it enough maybe our bike a reality. I don't want to get my hopes up too much though.
