5 Years? 3,000 cycles? Is that right?

That is in line with other claims I've seen - 1000 cycles and 5 years for 100% DoD at 10C, and 'several thousand of cycles' at lower discharge currents. There is a graph showing only a couple of % capacity loss after 1000 cycles at 1C (against 20% loss after 1000 cycles at 10C).

The life is predicted to be much longer still if you discharge by less than 100%

They probably have some internal BMS in order to back up a claim like that. At the cost they're quoting, I'd certanly hope for more than just a handful of batteries in a box...

The pack I'm assembling is 6 parallel, so 1C would be 13.8A or 500w at 36V (660W at 48V) - which is probably not too far off the average draw for many ebikes - with occasional higher bursts, of course.

As with all new products making extraordinary claims, only time will tell, but all the experiences I've read, and my own testing, so far look good.

That's what I always look for is experience from others. I don't mind some nice claims if I can find someone that can at least testify from their personal experience. Good to know :D

interesting..

but the price !!! are they seriouse or is that a bad joke ?

they say: 4s1p with 2.3Ah for Saleprice $444 and dealerprice $333

i use also 4s1p in one of my helis..
i have paid 38 Euro for the the pack, soldered by myself (from Dewalt-cells)

if i buy the cells here in europe seperatly from a battery-dealer i get them for 62 Euro

if i let the dealer solder them to a pack it ends at around 70 Euro

but 333$.... wow.. what a margin for them

Apparently its a seller's market. While walking through a local Harley Davidson dealership recently during a charity event I helped organize, I was shocked at the long line of $50k+ custom motorcycle they had for sale. I guess for those folks that buy such things, the price of the battery is no big deal.

It will be interesting to see where the price is at in a year or so and if anyone else is offering a similar product then.

I see these on ebay

This is real A123 ?

They have cells too.

Those cells are in the world's quickest electric motorcycle ?
