Hi,

I am currently purchasing some 20Ah Prismatic Cells, I did a Ah test on the top grade version and they are very close to the 20Ah.

I am wondering if any of you are interested in purchasing with me, I am buying them for $55.00 USD + shipping.

Let me know.

Do they have Full tabs, or shortened tabs?

They are on sale for $50/cell right now at A123rc.com

Hmmm, sounds like a salesmen directly coming from A123RC.com

I don't think those are A grade cells.

50.00$/15Ah = 3.3$ per Ah
58.00$~/20Ah = 2.9$ per Ah

Please correct me if my calculations are wrong.

I'm not sure I know what you mean? A grade cells?

Where are you buying them?

I am also interested in the detailed technical drawing and tab materials of the A123 20Ah cells from this place. Any ideas?

Need to make a 4kWh battery pack..

Why doesn't anyone give info about the voltage?
A*V=W

Since all LifePO4 cells charge to 3.65v, the voltage is a given property, no need to talk about it. Thundersky is the only exception I know about, charging to 4.2v IIRC.

Besides, voltage is a rather dynamic property. After the fluff is burned off, the resting voltage is lower than the 3.65v peak charge voltage. The voltage drops under varying load, and drops during discharge. The nominal voltage for LiFe is 3.0v/cell. Some manufacturers refer to their cells at 3.0v or 3.3v.

Believe or not, the ones I ordered has samples are testing between 18.9 Ah to 19.3Ah on a 20Ah constant load. Charged to 3.6V.

I guess these are B grade ( higher internal resistance) making higher thermal loss...

Huh, no, more like the A grade cells...

I got the B samples and they all tested out at 13~ Ah.

Are the A cells supposed to be more then 20Ah when they are rated at 20Ah?

Yup, current new cells are delivering just over 20Ah on average.
