Electrically Assisted bike tours of Phoenix, Scottsdale and Tempe Arizona. Stuck somewhere between trail rides on Horseback, city tours by segway, desert Jeep and hummer Tours. Journey Arizona's electric Bike Tours have combined comfort and ease with adventure and excitement. To bring an amazing outdoor experience to all in an earth friendly manner. The Journey Arizona experience is more than your typical "rip em' up rock' n roll" adrenaline rush through the desert, but more a serene quiet first man on Mars experience.

I like it and 'might have to try it next time visiting the folks? I would like to ride a Hanebrink too...

Genius. The hanebrinks would be the perfect vehicle. And renting them could make paying for a few of em possible. Brilliant!

Like not in Phoenix?

I haven't checked yet, but I wonder if any of the trails they are visiting are the ones that prohibit motorized vehicles of any kind? There's a few of those around within the valley. I'd hate to see them get in trouble for it, since it looks like a good way to get people hooked on ebikes. :)

I think it's awesome. I hope the city and community support it. Something like that is good for everyone, a win-win-win situation. Tourists get to do something fun and different, new business owner enjoys making a good living doing something he enjoys (and hires a few folks, thus, boosting the economy), and the city gets another draw (those tourists don't just spend money on bike tours. They have to eat and sleep too).

I can't see the negatives beyond nit-picking (what if someone gets hurt, what about the rare spotted monkey snake, etc.).

It looks like the guy is running it respectably.

My only advice to him would be to make a better website. If I were out there I'd help for free with the photography. His photos are too small and don't really show enough. I clicked on them and they wouldn't increase in size. Visuals are everything, and a video of people riding, laughing, music in the background, etc. needs to be made. Finally, the calendar is empty. That looks like a rookie move.

But who am I to say, really. I haven't ever stepped out on a limb like that. They probably spent a hundred grand getting their business started (those bikes are five grand each, and they have had accessories added. Plus there's overhead (shop to keep them, front desk, etc. or a truck/trailer to haul them), insurance, maintenance, snacks, first aid kids, etc.

I think it's a fantastic idea.

This needs to be done in DC (but the DC law enforcement is just out of control with power, and are applying it to the wrong areas....as if tourists and bike riders are a problem).

Actually, there are a lot of places where this would be tremendously successful: San Diego, Las Vegas, New York (good luck...cops would cry foul), DC, Miami, Waikiki, Hollywood, Malibu through Venice.....dang, the possibilities are endless (provided the local authorities don't have their heads up their asses).
