Advice can I fit this Xiaomi front hub motor on my Razor E300?

I have a Razor E300 and the brushed motor is useless or at least loud and boring. Im running at 36v using Milwaukee batteries in series.

I picked up a 350w front hub motor with a 10 inch tyre, but obviously the axle is way too short to fit the wide front dropouts on the Razor's forks. I don't have any welding skills, so I wondered if anyone here had any ideas?

There's ways without welding, but the better option is to swap the fork to one with suitable dropout width. They're standard 1 inch threaded steerer forks, easy to come by.

To find something suitable you need five measurements:
1. Steerer diameter
2. Steerer length
2. Axle to crown length
3. Dropout width
4. Fork offset

Steer diameter is critical. Must be 25.4mm.

Steer length is less critical, can be cut shorter.

Axle to crown you have leeway, and can likely file dropout slots to reduce it by 10 or 20mm, but needs to be such that the standing platform remains somewhat parallel to the ground.

Dropout width needs to be well matched, as in plus or minus 5mm.

With the offset, you might prefer a replacement with more or less than the stock fork provides, depending on how it rides. More offset results in less trail, and vice versa.

It would be really hard... but to a certain extent, bending is always an option! 🤣

Aside from that, @glennb is right on; however, I think you will unfortunately have a hard time finding one exactly right. From a search, most forks seem to be threadless, which will be tricky to use... but doable depending on how the razor is put together. One way to use a threadless fork would be to use a clamping shaft collar along with a wave spring washer to provide some tension; this is likely what I'll do to install a suspension fork on a scooter I have.

If nothing fits, you may just have to swap the rear wheel instead.

I just picked up a scrap xiaomi m365 and will see if the fork will fit the Razor.

If it does I will also have another front hub motor which I might plan on fitting to the rear somehow.

I know a decent welder if all else fails but that's gonna cost and the idea was to keep thus as cheap as possible. The razor cost me £20 and the Xiaomi £10 without a battery
